Pokémon GO Team-Leader Quest Series Brings Weekly Events for Blanche, Spark, and Candela

Niantic has officially revealed a brand-new event series for Pokémon GO that will spotlight all three team leaders across a three-week celebration running from May 26 until June 15. The event rotates weekly between Team Mystic, Team Instinct, and Team Valor while introducing themed encounters, special Field Research, Egg hatch bonuses, raids, and GO Pass rewards.

Each week focuses on a different gameplay style tied directly to the featured team leader, giving players multiple ways to collect themed Pokémon and exclusive cosmetic rewards.

Team Mystic Week Focuses on Research and Incense

The first event week begins on May 26 and centers around Blanche and Team Mystic. This portion of the event emphasizes Field Research tasks and Incense encounters.

Players will see increased wild spawns for Squirtle, Alolan Vulpix, Krabby, Staryu, and Galarian Zigzagoon. Niantic also confirmed boosted appearances for Lapras, Vaporeon, and Larvitar throughout the week.

Incense encounters during the event will feature Cubone, Horsea, Lapras, Vaporeon, Larvitar, Sableye, Clamperl, and Cubchoo.

Field Research rewards will include many of the featured event Pokémon while also giving players chances to encounter Sinistea and Tandemaus.

The GO Pass for Team Mystic week includes a special Blanche-themed Lapras encounter alongside a Team Mystic-inspired background reward.

Team Instinct Week Adds Special Egg Hatch Pokémon

The second event week runs from June 2 until June 8 and shifts the focus toward Spark and Team Instinct. The event theme revolves around discovering Pokémon and hatching Eggs.

Featured wild encounters include Bulbasaur, Alolan Raichu, Drowzee, Jolteon, Dratini, Houndour, Lileep, and Combee.

The special 7 km Egg pool contains several highly desirable Pokémon, including Pichu, Elekid, Shinx, Varoom, Galarian Corsola, and Hisuian Qwilfish.

Field Research rewards will continue offering encounters related to the event’s featured Pokémon lineup.

Players using the GO Pass can also obtain a special Elekid wearing a Spark-themed accessory together with an exclusive Team Instinct background card.

Team Valor Week Ends the Event With Raids and Battles

The final week of the Team-Leader Quest Series begins on June 9 and lasts until June 15. This phase highlights Candela and focuses heavily on raids and battle-themed gameplay.

Wild spawns for the week include Charmander, Mankey, Hisuian Growlithe, Machop, Ponyta, Scyther, Flareon, Slugma, and Fletchling.

Raid battles during the event will feature Hisuian Growlithe, Machamp, Scizor, Magcargo, Scraggy, Honedge, and Rockruff.

Field Research tasks will reward encounters tied to the event’s raid and wild spawn lineup.

The GO Pass reward for Team Valor week includes a Ponyta wearing a Candela-themed accessory together with a special Team Valor background.

Pokémon GO Continues Expanding Seasonal Event Content

The Team-Leader Quest Series continues Niantic’s recent push toward longer event structures that rotate gameplay mechanics weekly instead of relying solely on short weekend events. By splitting the event into separate themes focused on research, exploration, and battling, players have more reasons to stay active throughout the entire three-week period.

The addition of themed GO Pass rewards, exclusive accessory Pokémon, and rotating spawn pools also gives collectors and long-term players additional incentives to participate in every phase of the event.
