Pokemon Pokopia Continues Strong Start With New Limited-Time Event

Pokemon Pokopia is keeping its early momentum going with the Bulbasaur Jump Rope Contest, a one-week special event that ran from April 19, 2026, to April 26, 2026.

The event follows a highly successful launch period for the game, which sold over 2 million copies within its first four days and quickly became one of the highest-rated entries in the franchise. With a steady rollout of post-launch content, this marks the third special event introduced so far.

How the Jump Rope Contest Works

Players can begin the activity by speaking to Bulbasaur outside the Pokemon Center. The goal is to maintain a streak of consecutive jumps, with the challenge increasing the longer the streak continues.

Rewards start unlocking after the first successful jump. From there, additional rewards are granted every 10 consecutive jumps, encouraging players to push their limits. Reaching a streak of 51 jumps rewards players with the Jump Rope Trophy, the event’s key milestone item.

Rewards Players Can Earn

The event features a mix of useful and rare items that scale with performance. Reported rewards include:

  • Leppa Berries
  • Honey
  • Star Pieces
  • Large Lost Relics
  • Rainbow Feathers
  • Silver Feathers
  • Pokemetal
  • Rare Pokemetal

These rewards provide both practical benefits and collectible value, making the event worthwhile even for players not aiming for the highest streaks.

Multiplayer Rules Explained

The event includes different reward rules depending on where players participate:

Primary Islands

Only the host receives item rewards. However, the player with the highest jump count earns bragging rights for that world’s high score.

Cloud Islands

All participants can compete for the high score, but only the contest winner receives the rewards.

This distinction makes it important for players to choose where they participate depending on whether they prioritize rewards or competition.

Unlock Requirements and Early Access

To access the event, players must first complete the “Yawn Up a Storm” request for Slowpoke in the Withered Wasteland.

Some players reported gaining early access by adjusting the system clock on the Switch 2, a method commonly referred to as time travel, which has also worked with previous events.

What Comes Next for Pokemon Pokopia

The Bulbasaur Jump Rope Contest follows the earlier More Spores for Hoppip event, which ran for 15 days and introduced themed rewards and activities.

Looking ahead, a larger event featuring Sableye is scheduled from April 29 to May 13, bringing exclusive habitat-building rewards and continuing the game’s expanding content lineup.
