Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players will have plenty to do throughout August, as The Pokémon Company has revealed eight new limited-time events arriving after the current 7-Star Mightiest Mark Magikarp raid concludes on August 6.
The new rotation begins on August 7 and runs until September 3, bringing a mix of shiny-focused mass outbreaks, boosted Mark encounters, and challenging 7-Star Tera Raid Battles. Even with Pokémon Scarlet and Violet entering the later stages of their lifecycle, Game Freak continues to support Generation 9 while Pokémon Winds and Waves remains on track for a 2027 release.
August 7–13: Glimmet and Glimmora
The first event week focuses on Glimmet and Glimmora.
Players can participate in special Paldea Mass Outbreaks featuring increased chances of encountering Shiny Pokémon. Alongside the outbreaks, trainers can challenge a 7-Star Grass-Tera Glimmora carrying the prestigious Mightiest Mark.
August 14–20: Mankey, Primeape and Annihilape
The second week shifts attention to one of Generation 9’s most popular evolution lines.
Mass Outbreaks featuring Mankey and Primeape will appear across Paldea, while Annihilape outbreaks will be exclusive to Kitakami. During the event, Pokémon found in these outbreaks will have an increased chance of possessing the Angry Mark.
Players can also take on a powerful 7-Star Ghost-Tera Annihilape in the latest Mightiest Mark raid.
August 21–27: Girafarig and Farigiraf
Week three celebrates Girafarig and its Generation 9 evolution Farigiraf.
Girafarig outbreaks will appear throughout Paldea, while Farigiraf outbreaks will be available inside Blueberry Academy. Pokémon encountered during the event will have boosted chances of carrying the Intellectual Mark.
The featured raid for the week is a 7-Star Fairy-Tera Farigiraf with the Mightiest Mark.
August 28 – September 3: Pawniard, Bisharp and Kingambit
The final event of the month highlights the Pawniard evolution line.
Mass Outbreaks will feature Pawniard and Bisharp, while Kingambit outbreaks will once again be exclusive to Kitakami. Trainers hunting Marks will have improved odds of finding Pokémon with the Charismatic Mark.
The week’s headline challenge will be the 7-Star Dark-Tera Kingambit Mightiest Mark raid.
No Return for the Starter Raids
While many fans hoped the popular starter Pokémon Mightiest Mark raids would return, Game Freak has confirmed that Meowscarada, Skeledirge, and Quaquaval will not receive another rerun.
The weekly rerun cycle that began on January 8, 2026, officially comes to an end with the current Mightiest Mark Magikarp event, making these new August challenges the next major focus for Scarlet and Violet players.
Pokémon Champions Players Have a New Target
Among the upcoming raids, Kingambit may prove to be the most valuable reward.
With Pokémon Champions now serving as the primary destination for official VGC double-battle competition following the conclusion of Season 41, many competitive players are expected to prioritize obtaining the Mightiest Mark Kingambit for future team-building opportunities.
More Pokémon Events Are Still Coming
August is shaping up to be another busy month for Pokémon fans. Alongside these Scarlet and Violet events, players can also look forward to content across the wider franchise, including Pokémon Pokopia DLC, new Pokémon TCG Pocket expansions, Pokémon GO events, and additional Pokémon Legends: Z-A seasonal content.
With this event schedule ending on September 3, more Scarlet and Violet events are widely expected to be announced for the months ahead.
