Pokémon GO Confirms Yamper’s Debut in Paw Prints Event This June

The beloved Electric-type from Galar sparks its way into the mobile game alongside themed bonuses and dog-inspired spawns.

Niantic has officially announced the arrival of Yamper and its evolution, Boltund, in Pokémon GO as part of the upcoming Yamper’s Paw Prints event. The limited-time celebration will run from June 20 at 12:00 PM to June 22 at 11:59 PM local time, featuring a variety of themed bonuses, spawns, and research tasks.

  • Yamper
  • Boltund – Evolves from Yamper using 50 Yamper Candy.

These Gen 8 additions continue the gradual rollout of Galar region Pokémon during Pokémon GO’s Delightful Days season.

  • 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.

Increased Wild Encounters

Trainers can expect more frequent appearances of canine-themed Pokémon, including:

Paid Timed Research – $1

Optional premium research will be available for $1 (or equivalent local currency), offering:

  • Incense
  • 6,000 Stardust
  • Encounters with event-themed Pokémon, including Rockruff and Yamper

Seasonal Context

The Paw Prints event overlaps with Jangmo-o’s Community Day on June 21, making for an action-packed weekend. Meanwhile, Pokémon GO continues building anticipation for GO Fest 2025: Global, where the Crowned Forms of Zacian and Zamazenta will make their global debut.
