CarX Street players are once again dealing with problems affecting the game’s leaderboard races. Unfortunately, this is starting to look like a recurring issue rather than an isolated outage.
Players have reported missing leaderboard events, races displaying zeroed-out statistics, times failing to register and rankings that cannot be viewed properly. For players who regularly return to CarX Street specifically to compete for leaderboard positions, the problem effectively removes one of the game’s main competitive activities.
Leaderboard Races Are Breaking Again
Reports from players describe several variations of the same problem.
Some players can only see a single leaderboard race, while others are seeing drift events where every racer and timer displays zero. There are also reports of completed race times simply not being registered.
Other players have reported that new leaderboard races aren’t appearing at all.
The problem doesn’t appear to be restricted to one platform either. Reports have previously surfaced from PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox players experiencing similar behaviour.
One Steam discussion from September described that the leaderboard races showing “0-0” statistics and that we are facing broken timers once more, while another player reported that their race time wasn’t being registered even after completing the event multiple times.
More recent activity around the same discussion suggests players are still encountering leaderboard-related problems.
This Isn’t the First Time
What makes the situation more frustrating is that CarX Street has dealt with leaderboard problems before.
Players reporting the issue in August specifically pointed out that the same thing had happened several months earlier.
CarX Technologies has also previously acknowledged technical problems involving leaderboard races. During an earlier incident, the developer confirmed that some players were experiencing issues with leaderboard events and said it was working on a solution.
Leaderboard fixes have appeared in previous CarX Street updates as well.
That history makes the latest reports particularly concerning. A competitive system designed around players repeatedly improving their times needs to be dependable, especially when rewards and rankings are attached to it.
Some Players Haven’t Seen New Races for Weeks
The issue appears to go beyond individual race times failing to upload.
Players have reported going weeks without receiving new StreetNET leaderboard races. Similar reports appeared across both PC and console during August, with some players saying they would launch CarX Street specifically to check whether new leaderboard events had appeared, only to quit again when nothing had changed.
For players focused primarily on competitive leaderboard racing, there isn’t much of a workaround.
Reinstalling the game or restarting it doesn’t appear to consistently resolve the problem either, suggesting the issue may be connected to CarX Street’s online services or leaderboard infrastructure rather than local game files.
Bad Timing for CarX Street
The recurring leaderboard trouble is particularly noticeable because CarX Technologies has been expanding the competitive side of CarX Street.
The game introduced Runlist as a ranked online mode, allowing up to eight players to compete through real-time matchmaking. CarX Technologies has also previously discussed cheating problems and introduced Easy Anti-Cheat partly because unfair advantages were affecting competitive races.
That makes reliable online systems increasingly important.
CarX Street can offer new cars, events and competitive modes, but players also need confidence that their times and rankings will actually be recorded when they participate.
CarX Street Needs a Permanent Leaderboard Fix
Temporary fixes aren’t going to be enough if the same leaderboard problems continue returning.
For casual players, a broken leaderboard might only be an inconvenience. For competitive players trying to improve times, earn rewards and climb the rankings, it can remove an entire reason to play.
The worrying part isn’t simply that CarX Street’s leaderboards are having problems.
It’s that we’ve been here before.
CarX Technologies has fixed leaderboard-related issues in previous updates, but reports of missing races, broken timers and scores failing to register continue to surface.
Hopefully, this time the solution sticks.
