Pokémon GO Scorbunny Community Day Set for March 14

Scorbunny will take center stage in the next Pokémon GO Community Day, scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026. The Fire-type starter from Galar brings exclusive moves, boosted Shiny rates, and a full slate of limited-time bonuses.

Here is everything Trainers need to know.

Event Schedule and Spawn Details

Main Event Window

2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (local time)

During this three-hour window:

  • Scorbunny will appear more frequently in the wild
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Scorbunny
  • Scorbunny may appear with a special event background

Extended Lure Bonus

2:00 PM – 9:00 PM (local time)

Any PokéStop with an active Lure Module will have an increased chance of attracting Scorbunny variations throughout the extended period.

This provides additional flexibility for players who cannot participate during the core three-hour window.

Exclusive Moves and Evolution Window

Evolving Raboot during the event — and up to four hours after the event starts — will grant Cinderace the exclusive Charged Attack:

Blast Burn

The powerful Fire-type move returns as the traditional Community Day exclusive.

In addition, this Community Day introduces a new permanent move option for Cinderace:

Pyro Ball

  • 75 Power in Trainer Battles
  • 150 Power in Gyms and Raids

Pyro Ball becomes available starting with this event, giving Cinderace new viability in PvP and PvE formats.

Special Research and Paid Ticket

A $1.99 Special Research ticket will be available. Completing the themed questline grants:

  • Three guaranteed encounters with Scorbunny featuring the special background
  • One Premium Battle Pass
  • One Rare Candy XL

Free Field Research tasks will also be available at PokéStops, offering rewards such as Ultra Balls and Stardust.

Event Bonuses

The following bonuses apply during the Community Day window:

  • 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance (for Eggs placed in Incubators during the event period)
  • 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
  • 2× chance for Trainers Level 31+ to receive Candy XL from catches
  • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) lasts 3 hours
  • Lure Modules last 1 hour
  • One additional Special Trade allowed (maximum of two for the day)
  • Trades require 50% less Stardust

These bonuses make it an ideal event for both grinding Candy and trading for strong IV evolutions.

Community Meetups

A Community Day map will highlight popular gathering locations, with Community Ambassadors marking major in-person meetups. As always, local parks and high-density PokéStop areas are expected to see the most activity.

Scorbunny Community Day delivers both competitive relevance and strong grinding incentives. Between Blast Burn, the debut of Pyro Ball, and the stacked event bonuses, March 14 looks to be one of the stronger starter-focused Community Days in recent memory.
