Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has received its first round of stability and bug fixes less than a week after launch. The update, released on November 18 for all platforms, focuses exclusively on correcting issues across Co-Op Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies. While no new content is added in this patch, it resolves several early-game frustrations reported by players during the opening days.
Multiplayer Stability Improvements
The update delivers multiple stability and crash fixes across the game’s multiplayer modes. A specific correction was made to the Dark Ops challenge system, fixing an issue where the ‘Trip Cap’ challenge could be triggered earlier than intended. This fix prevents players from completing it under incorrect conditions and ensures proper challenge progression moving forward.
Zombies Fixes for Abilities and Gameplay Balance
Zombies received a notable set of corrections aimed at restoring intended gameplay balance and addressing technical issues.
Key fixes include:
- A bug causing zombie health to scale beyond intended values has been resolved.
- The Equivalent Exchange augment now correctly works alongside Quick Revive.
- A persistent afterimage effect tied to Aether Shroud has been fixed.
- Various loading, crashing, and gameplay interruptions have been addressed to stabilize matches.
These adjustments aim to ensure both solo and cooperative players can progress without unintended difficulty spikes or ability malfunctions.
Co-Op Campaign Progression Issues Resolved
The Co-Op Campaign also received targeted fixes. Some players experienced lost event progress when leaving activity areas, and others encountered a black screen when loading into the Endgame mission. Both issues are now resolved, alongside broader stability improvements to help prevent interruptions during longer sessions.
Nuketown Remaster and What’s Coming Next
Alongside this patch, players can expect the free remaster of Nuketown 2025, arriving on November 20. This updated version of the fan-favorite map will be available for all players at no additional cost.
Season 1 is also set to expand the game further with additional Black Ops 2 map remasters, including Standoff and Meltdown, as well as four brand-new multiplayer maps. With more content arriving shortly, additional fixes and stability updates are likely to follow once Season 1 launches.
Black Ops 7’s first post-launch update may be small, but it lays the foundation for the larger content drops coming in the weeks ahead, ensuring players have a smoother experience while waiting for what’s next.
