The Palworld Official Card Game is getting another wave of cards after strong launch demand left players struggling to find Dawn of Palpagos at normal prices. Bushiroad has confirmed that additional stock is being prepared, with the launch set officially receiving a 2nd Edition print run.
The announcement follows complaints about limited availability and rapidly increasing secondary-market prices. With sealed products and some of the game’s rarest cards already selling well above their original value, another print run could provide some much-needed relief for players who simply want to collect or play the new TCG.
Dawn of Palpagos Is Getting a 2nd Edition
The Palworld Official Card Game team acknowledged the supply problems and apologized for the difficulty some players have experienced while trying to purchase the first set.
Bushiroad is now arranging additional production of Dawn of Palpagos. Unlike a simple restock of the original printing, the new cards will reportedly be identified as “2nd Edition.”
An exact release date has not yet been announced. More information about the second printing is expected “in the near future.”
The decision suggests Bushiroad is responding quickly to demand rather than allowing the launch shortage to continue while attention shifts toward future expansions.
Palworld TCG Demand Has Already Created a Scalper Problem
The additional supply could be particularly important because Dawn of Palpagos quickly became difficult to obtain following its release.
Strong demand created an opportunity for resellers, with sealed products appearing on the secondary market at significant markups. Individual cards have also attracted high prices, especially rare alternate versions aimed at collectors.
Several sought-after cards have reportedly sold for more than $100, while an exceptionally rare gold SSS Cattiva has been valued at approximately $4,000 on the secondary market.
Those prices demonstrate the enormous collector interest surrounding the game’s first set, but they also highlight the problems caused when demand significantly exceeds available supply.
A second printing will not necessarily eliminate expensive collector cards. However, increasing the amount of product available should make it easier for regular players to obtain cards without paying inflated reseller prices.
What Is Included in Dawn of Palpagos?
Dawn of Palpagos serves as the first major set for the Palworld Official Card Game and establishes the foundation for the new TCG.
The set contains 100 unique cards spread across four standard rarity levels, alongside another 61 parallel-rarity variants.
Some of the biggest collector targets are the high-end full-art OSR and SP cards, which have already attracted considerable attention on the secondary market.
The launch was also accompanied by two Trial Decks featuring recognizable Pals and characters from the Palworld universe, including Chillet, Lyleen, Zoe and Lily.
That combination of playable cards, recognizable characters and scarce collector variants helped generate substantial interest immediately after release.
Will the 2nd Edition Affect First Edition Card Prices?
The decision to clearly label the next printing as 2nd Edition could have an interesting effect on the collector market.
More cards entering circulation should reduce some of the pressure created by the initial shortage, particularly for standard cards that players need to build decks. However, distinguishing between first and second printings could also preserve demand for original First Edition cards.
Collectors often place additional value on cards from an original print run, especially when a trading card game becomes successful over the long term.
That means the reprint could create two separate markets: players seeking affordable cards from the 2nd Edition and collectors continuing to chase scarce First Edition versions.
For ordinary players, though, additional supply is ultimately good news. A new trading card game benefits far more from people actually being able to buy and play it than from shelves being emptied by resellers.
Legends Awaken Is Already Coming in October
Bushiroad is not slowing down development of the Palworld TCG while it works on additional Dawn of Palpagos stock.
The game’s second major expansion, Legends Awaken, is currently planned for October 2026.
The set will introduce additional Pals to the card game, including Chillet Ignis and Jetragon. Two more Trial Decks are then expected to arrive in December 2026, giving players additional options for expanding their decks.
That creates a busy first year for the Palworld Official Card Game. Bushiroad now has to balance new releases with ensuring that earlier products remain accessible.
Palworld Continues Expanding Beyond the Main Game
The success of the trading card game is another example of how quickly Palworld is expanding into a broader franchise.
The main game reached Version 1.0 in July 2026, while Pocketpair has also announced additional projects including Palfarm and Palworld Online.
The Palworld Official Card Game gives the franchise another major avenue for growth, particularly among collectors who may already be familiar with Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering and other established TCGs.
Its biggest immediate challenge may simply be keeping cards available.
A Reprint Is Exactly What Palworld TCG Needs
Selling out can look like an ideal situation for a newly launched trading card game, but persistent shortages can quickly become a problem.
Players should not have to compete with scalpers simply to participate in a new TCG. If products remain unavailable while secondary-market prices continue climbing, potential players may eventually decide to spend their money elsewhere.
Confirming a Dawn of Palpagos 2nd Edition this early therefore makes sense.
It gives newcomers another opportunity to enter the game, provides existing players with more cards for deck building and potentially reduces some of the pressure surrounding inflated resale prices.
Collectors may continue chasing First Edition cards, but the wider community should finally have another chance to get Dawn of Palpagos without paying scalper prices.
