Bethesda has revealed a new Fallout 76 roadmap, outlining what players can expect from late 2026 through Summer 2027. The plans include World Pets, an expanded Bounty system, new Hideouts and, eventually, a major Raven Rock expansion.
The roadmap gives Fallout 76 players a clearer picture of how Bethesda plans to expand Appalachia over the coming months. Rather than delivering everything at once, several updates will gradually introduce new systems before Raven Rock arrives in Summer 2027.
Fallout 76 Continues Beware the Blood Moon
Fallout 76 is currently running its Beware the Blood Moon season.
The seasonal storyline revolves around the Slasher, a pint-sized murderer who plays a central role throughout several phases of the season. More stages will become available during October.
Eventually, the storyline will lead players into a confrontation with the Reborn Pint-Sized Slasher.
However, Bethesda already has much bigger additions planned beyond the current season.
Winter 2026 Brings World Pets
The first major stop on the Fallout 76 roadmap is World Pets, scheduled for Winter 2026.
C.A.M.P. Pets will finally be able to accompany players while exploring the world. These companions will also feature their own progression system and can gain levels.
Players will be able to issue several commands to their pets, including:
- Stay
- Follow
- Protect
- Kill
This should turn pets into more than decorative additions to a player’s C.A.M.P.
Winter 2026 will also introduce Bounties to Skyline Valley. Bethesda plans to use the update to provide more context surrounding the Blue Ridge Caravan Company’s closure of its operations in the region.
Hideouts Are Coming in Spring 2027
The Bounty system will expand further in Spring 2027.
Players will receive access to larger contracts, with The Ghoul becoming involved in the system.
Another major addition will be Hideouts.
These challenging locations are intended to fill part of the gap between Fallout 76’s earlier endgame activities and its more demanding late-game raids. Importantly, players will not necessarily need a full group to tackle them.
Bethesda is designing Hideouts for both solo and cooperative play.
That could make them particularly useful for players who want more difficult endgame content without immediately jumping into raid-level activities.
Raven Rock Arrives in Summer 2027
The biggest addition on the roadmap is saved for Summer 2027.
Fallout 76 will expand with Raven Rock, bringing the famous location and additional Enclave activity into the game.
Raven Rock later becomes an important location in Fallout 3. However, Fallout 76 takes place roughly two centuries earlier, giving Bethesda an opportunity to explore a very different period in the facility’s history.
The expansion should therefore provide additional background on Raven Rock and the Enclave long before the events players experienced in Fallout 3.
It also represents another significant expansion of Fallout 76’s playable world.
Could Raven Rock Connect to Fallout 3 Remastered?
There is already speculation surrounding the timing of the Raven Rock expansion.
Reports and rumors have continued to point toward a Fallout 3 Remastered, while a remastered version of Fallout: New Vegas has also been linked to Bethesda’s future Fallout plans.
Some speculation suggests Fallout 3 Remastered could arrive during the second half of 2027. If that happens, releasing Raven Rock in Fallout 76 during Summer 2027 could provide convenient cross-promotion.
For now, however, players should treat that connection as speculation. Bethesda has not confirmed that Raven Rock’s Fallout 76 appearance is tied to the release of Fallout 3 Remastered.
Fallout 76 Still Has a Long Road Ahead
Fallout 76 is clearly not slowing down.
World Pets will expand companion gameplay in Winter 2026, while Spring 2027 will strengthen the Bounty system and introduce Hideouts. Raven Rock will then become the centerpiece of the roadmap in Summer 2027.
Meanwhile, the wider Fallout franchise has several projects on the horizon, including remaster activity and another Fallout project associated with Obsidian.
Until those projects arrive, Fallout 76 remains an important part of Bethesda’s ongoing Fallout plans.
For players who have stuck with Appalachia, the journey toward Raven Rock has officially begun.
