Nintendo has shared another look at the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. This time, the company puts the spotlight on the iconic Zora’s Domain.
The new footage appeared through Nintendo’s official Japanese social channels. It gives fans a much closer look at how the developers have recreated one of the most memorable locations from the original adventure.
With the remake scheduled to launch on November 5, Nintendo is slowly revealing more of its updated version of Hyrule.
Zora’s Domain Gets a Major Visual Upgrade
The new footage opens with a sweeping view of the lower pool and surrounding cliffs. Fans of the original game should immediately recognize the pathway leading deeper into Zora’s Domain.
However, the remake gives the area a much greater sense of scale. The cliffs tower above the water, while additional environmental details make the location feel more alive.
Nintendo also provides a closer look at the central pool area. Water remains an important part of the location’s design, just as it was in the original Ocarina of Time.
The updated visuals also help emphasize the atmosphere of Zora’s Domain. Rather than completely redesigning the location, the remake appears to expand on its familiar layout.
Link Heads Toward King Zora
The preview also includes several gameplay moments.
One scene shows Link climbing the staircase toward King Zora’s chamber. The sequence offers another look at the vertical design of the updated environment.
Another scene features Link diving from the waterfall and landing in the pool below. It is a small moment, but one that longtime players will instantly recognize.
These scenes suggest that Nintendo wants to preserve the identity of the original locations while dramatically improving their presentation.
Zora’s Domain played an important role in Link’s adventure in the original game. It served as the home of the Zora and connected players with several important characters and quests.
Because of that history, its appearance in the remake has attracted plenty of attention.
Ocarina of Time Returns This November
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remains one of Nintendo’s most famous games. The original launched for the Nintendo 64 in 1998 and helped establish many ideas that later became standard in 3D adventure games.
The upcoming remake gives Nintendo an opportunity to introduce that adventure to a new generation while giving longtime fans a much more modern version of Hyrule.
Nintendo has continued to reveal individual areas and gameplay moments ahead of launch. The latest Zora’s Domain footage provides another glimpse at the scale of the project.
