PlayStation players have another batch of free content waiting for them, as Naughty Dog is celebrating The Last of Us Day with four new profile avatars. Better yet, the giveaway does not require PlayStation Plus or a purchase of either game.
The four avatars are available for both PS4 and PS5 users through regional PlayStation Store redemption codes. Players simply need to use the correct code for their region to add the avatars to their account.
Naughty Dog Celebrates The Last of Us Day With Free Avatars
The giveaway forms part of this year’s larger The Last of Us Day celebration. Naughty Dog has several activities and announcements planned around the occasion, including digital content, a charity stream, collectibles, and the launch of official social media accounts dedicated to The Last of Us.
For PlayStation users, however, one of the easiest bonuses to claim is completely free.
Naughty Dog has released four new PlayStation avatars featuring imagery and symbols connected to The Last of Us universe. These include designs inspired by the Seraphites, the Washington Liberation Front (W.L.F.), and Ellie’s recognizable space pin.
Unlike many PlayStation promotions, these avatars are not connected to a PlayStation Plus membership. PS4 and PS5 owners can redeem them without having an Essential, Extra, or Premium subscription.

No PlayStation Plus Required
The most notable part of the promotion is that the avatars are genuinely free rather than being attached to PlayStation Plus.
PlayStation regularly offers games, cosmetics, trials, and other benefits through its subscription services. However, this particular giveaway comes directly from Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Day celebration.
That means players who do not currently subscribe to PlayStation Plus can still participate.
It is a small giveaway compared with a free game or DLC, but for fans of The Last of Us, four free avatars are still worth claiming while the promotional codes remain available.
