The Pokémon Trading Card Game is already preparing players for its final major expansion of 2026. Four brand-new promotional cards have now been revealed for Delta Reign, the upcoming set centered around Mega Rayquaza.
Delta Reign is currently scheduled to launch in early November 2026, bringing another year of Pokémon TCG releases to a close. While plenty about the expansion is still waiting to be revealed, the appearance of these new promo cards gives collectors another early look at what is coming.
Four New Delta Reign Promo Cards Revealed
A total of four promotional cards connected to Delta Reign have now been shown.
Promo cards are often used alongside new Pokémon TCG expansions through products such as collection boxes, blister packs, bundles, and other special releases. While they are not necessarily part of the numbered main set, they regularly become desirable additions for collectors looking to complete everything connected to an expansion.
The reveal also continues the gradual rollout for Delta Reign ahead of its November release.
With Mega Rayquaza serving as one of the expansion’s main attractions, expectations are already high. Rayquaza has historically been one of the franchise’s most popular Legendary Pokémon, while several of its previous TCG appearances have become highly recognizable cards among collectors.
Delta Reign will once again put the powerful Hoenn Legendary Pokémon directly into the spotlight.
Pokémon TCG Has Had a Busy 2026
Delta Reign will arrive after an exceptionally busy year for the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
The year began with Ascended Heroes, which became the largest Pokémon TCG expansion released at the time. The enormous set included sought-after cards featuring popular Pokémon such as Pikachu, Gengar, and Dragonite.
That was only the beginning.
Several additional expansions followed throughout 2026, including Perfect Order, Pitch Black, and the recently released 30th Celebration set. The latter formed part of the wider celebrations surrounding Pokémon’s 30th anniversary.
With so many expansions arriving throughout the year, collectors have certainly not been given much time to let their wallets recover.
And apparently, November is not interested in helping.
Delta Reign Will Close Out 2026
Delta Reign is expected to be the final new Pokémon TCG expansion of 2026, making it the closing chapter of an already packed year for the card game.
The focus on Mega Rayquaza should also make the expansion particularly interesting for fans of Hoenn and Mega Evolution. Exactly how large a role Mega Rayquaza will play throughout the complete card list remains to be seen, especially as more cards are expected to be revealed throughout October.
For collectors, the newly revealed promotional cards are likely only the beginning of the Delta Reign rollout.
With the expansion launching in early November, additional cards, special illustrations, products, and potentially some of the set’s biggest chase cards should start appearing as release day approaches.
