Another major Grand Theft Auto 6 leak has appeared online, and this one could be significantly bigger than a few seconds of leaked gameplay. The alleged entire state of Leonida, including Vice City and several surrounding counties, has reportedly surfaced online.
The leak comes from the same source behind a recent GTA 6 gameplay leak involving Jason playing basketball. If the material is genuine, Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive could once again be dealing with a substantial leak only months before the game’s planned release.
However, there is an important warning attached to the situation. The person distributing the alleged material is also asking users for cryptocurrency to support further leaks. Players should therefore be extremely careful and avoid sending money or cryptocurrency to anyone claiming they can provide additional GTA 6 content.
GTA 6’s Leonida Map May Have Leaked
The latest leak reportedly provides a much broader look at Leonida, the fictional state where GTA 6 takes place.
Vice City has always been expected to form a major part of the game. However, Rockstar has made it clear that GTA 6 will expand considerably beyond the city itself.
The alleged leaked map appears to reveal not only Vice City, but also surrounding counties and other areas across Leonida. If accurate, it could provide one of the clearest indications yet of just how large GTA 6’s playable world will be.
That does not necessarily mean everything shown will appear exactly the same in the final game.
The leaked material may have originated from an older GTA 6 development build. Locations, roads, buildings and even entire areas can change considerably during development.
Rockstar And Take-Two Appear To Be Taking Action
One detail making the situation particularly interesting is the reported removal of posts containing the leaked material.
Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have historically acted aggressively when unreleased GTA material appears online. Posts connected to both the recent gameplay footage and alleged Leonida map have reportedly been targeted for removal.
That does not automatically prove every detail of the leak is genuine. However, the takedowns will inevitably increase speculation surrounding its authenticity.
Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has publicly confirmed that the leaked map represents the final GTA 6 world.
The Same Source Recently Leaked GTA 6 Gameplay
This isn’t the first GTA 6 material associated with the source.
Recent footage allegedly showed Jason playing basketball, providing another unofficial glimpse at gameplay mechanics that Rockstar has not publicly demonstrated.
Now, an alleged map of Leonida has followed.
If both leaks originate from legitimate development material, Rockstar may have a much larger problem than a single video appearing online. It would suggest that someone potentially has access to a collection of internal or previously unreleased GTA 6 assets.
That could explain why material is appearing gradually rather than everything being published simultaneously.
Players Should Be Extremely Careful
There is another side to this story that GTA fans should not ignore.
The person behind the alleged leaks is reportedly requesting cryptocurrency payments or support in exchange for continued GTA 6 leaks.
Do not assume that this makes the material more credible.
GTA 6 is arguably one of the easiest games in the world to use as bait for scams right now. Fake beta invitations, fraudulent downloads, fake giveaways, malware and supposed leaked builds can all take advantage of the enormous amount of attention surrounding the game.
Even if some of the material being shared is authentic, that does not make sending cryptocurrency to the person distributing it safe.
Players should avoid downloading suspicious files, connecting crypto wallets, sending cryptocurrency or providing personal information to anyone promising additional GTA 6 leaks.
Rockstar Has Dealt With Major Leaks Before
Rockstar Games is certainly no stranger to enormous security incidents.
GTA 6 suffered one of the biggest leaks in gaming history in 2022, when development footage from an unfinished version of the game appeared online. The incident resulted in dozens of videos spreading across social media before Rockstar and Take-Two began removing them.
The latest situation is not necessarily comparable in scale. However, an authentic map showing a large portion of Leonida would still represent a significant leak.
It could also reveal locations that Rockstar intended players to discover themselves.
GTA 6 Is Getting Dangerously Close To Release
The timing makes the situation even more sensitive.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
That means Rockstar is now only months away from releasing one of the most anticipated games in history.
Leaks this close to launch could potentially reveal gameplay systems, locations, characters and story details that Rockstar has deliberately kept hidden throughout its marketing campaign.
With alleged gameplay footage and now an alleged map appearing from the same source, Rockstar and Take-Two will likely be watching the situation closely.
For players who want to experience Leonida without spoilers, the next few months could become increasingly difficult.
And for anyone chasing the leaks, one warning is particularly important: do not send money or cryptocurrency to strangers simply because they claim to have unreleased GTA 6 material.
Whether the latest map is genuine, outdated or something else entirely, Leonida is meant to be explored when GTA 6 finally launches.
