CarX Street players are once again dealing with problems surrounding the game’s leaderboard races. This time, the situation appears particularly frustrating, as some races have reportedly failed to refresh for around a week.
Leaderboard events are an important part of CarX Street’s competitive gameplay. They give players a reason to improve their cars, chase faster times, and compete for higher positions. However, when those events stop rotating, an entire part of the game’s endgame progression effectively stops working as intended.
Leaderboard races have not refreshed
The current issue affects the rotating leaderboard races available across CarX Street. Under normal circumstances, these events eventually end and new races become available.
That rotation does not appear to be happening correctly for everyone.
GamingHQ has observed leaderboard races that have remained unchanged for approximately a week. Instead of receiving a new selection of races, players can find themselves stuck with expired or outdated events.
Other players have reported similar behavior. One PS5 player reported that leaderboard races failed to update, leaving only two events on the map. One of those races displayed zeros on its countdown timer and would no longer record times or placements.
PC players have reported remarkably similar problems. A Steam community report describes drift leaderboard races becoming stuck at 00:00:00:00, while the game stopped displaying leaderboard information or recording participation and personal records.
That suggests this is not necessarily an isolated problem affecting a single player or platform.
This is not the first leaderboard problem
Unfortunately, CarX Street has a history of leaderboard-related issues.
Players have previously reported leaderboard events reaching zero without immediately ending. In some cases, races remained accessible after their timers expired, while rewards were delayed.
There have also been reports of players waiting for expired Time Attack events to reset before new events finally appeared.
This creates an obvious problem for competitive players. A countdown timer should clearly indicate when an event begins and ends. If an event reaches zero but remains active—or fails to rotate at all—players cannot reliably tell when their result is final.
A week without new races is too long
A short server delay is understandable. Online games occasionally experience problems when events rotate, servers undergo maintenance, or rankings need to be processed.
A week is another matter.
When leaderboard races remain unchanged for that long, players lose access to one of the game’s recurring competitive activities. Those who regularly participate in leaderboard events have fewer reasons to return and compete.
It can also affect progression and rewards tied to competitive events.
The problem becomes even more noticeable because CarX Technologies has actively worked on the leaderboard and Time Attack systems. In January 2026, the developer temporarily took leaderboards offline while updating the rating system. Time Attack progression and rewards also received changes around the same period.
That makes reliable event rotation particularly important.
Players are left waiting
At the moment, there does not appear to be a reliable player-side solution for leaderboard races that refuse to refresh.
Restarting the game or waiting for the timer to expire will not necessarily solve a server-side leaderboard or event-rotation problem. Previous player reports also suggest that resets can happen significantly later than expected.
For now, affected players may simply have to wait for CarX Technologies to refresh the events or address whatever is preventing the rotation.
Hopefully, the developer can resolve the problem quickly. Competitive events only work when players can trust the timer, rankings, rewards, and event rotation.
After roughly a week without refreshed races, CarX Street’s leaderboard system clearly needs attention.
