After more than two years in Early Access, Palworld is finally preparing for its full launch. Developer Pocketpair has confirmed that Version 1.0 will arrive on July 10, marking one of the biggest milestones in the game’s history since its breakout success in early 2024.
The announcement came alongside a new cinematic trailer that offered players a first look at some of the content planned for the full release. Version 1.0 is expected to be the largest update Palworld has received so far, bringing major additions to both the game’s world and its progression systems.
The World Tree Finally Opens
One of the biggest reveals is the long-awaited World Tree. Since Palworld launched, players have been able to spot the enormous tree in the distance, sparking countless theories about what it might contain.
With Version 1.0, players will finally be able to explore the area for themselves. The World Tree is expected to play a major role in the game’s endgame content and may answer some of the mysteries that have surrounded Palworld’s world since launch.
New Pals and New Areas to Explore
The upcoming update will also introduce additional Pals, new locations, and new threats for players to overcome. While Pocketpair is keeping many details under wraps, the trailer hints at several unexplored regions that appear significantly different from the environments currently available in the game.
For longtime players, this means there will be plenty of new content waiting when Version 1.0 arrives. Newcomers, meanwhile, will be able to experience the game in what Pocketpair considers its complete launch state.
The End of Early Access
Palworld quickly became one of gaming’s biggest success stories after launching in Early Access. Millions of players jumped into the survival adventure, helping the game break records across multiple platforms.
Over the past two years, the development team has continued expanding the experience with new content, gameplay improvements, balance changes, and quality-of-life updates. Version 1.0 represents the culmination of that work and signals the beginning of Palworld’s next chapter.
Although future updates are still expected, July 10 marks the moment Palworld officially leaves Early Access behind and becomes a fully released title.
What This Means for Existing Players
Players will be able to continue using their existing worlds when Version 1.0 launches. However, with so many new systems and progression changes arriving, some players may choose to start fresh and experience the game as it was intended for full release.
Whether you’re returning after a break or jumping in for the first time, Version 1.0 looks set to be the definitive Palworld experience.
