Pokémon GO trainers have another major event to look forward to this month as Mega Skarmory is officially making its debut during a dedicated Raid Day event. The Steel and Flying-type Pokémon will receive its Mega Evolution, giving players a new challenge to tackle while also offering valuable rewards and bonuses.
Mega Skarmory Makes Its Debut
The upcoming Raid Day will mark the first time players can battle Mega Skarmory in Pokémon GO. Trainers who successfully defeat the raid boss will be able to earn Mega Energy needed to unlock Mega Skarmory for their own collection.
As with previous Mega Raid debuts, the event is expected to attract a large number of players looking to strengthen their teams and add another Mega Evolution to their roster.
Event Bonuses Available
Several bonuses will be active during the event to encourage participation. Trainers will be able to collect additional Raid Passes from Gym Photo Discs, allowing for more raid attempts without spending extra resources.
The Remote Raid Pass limit will also be temporarily increased, making it easier for players to participate from home or join friends in other locations.
These bonuses are designed to help players maximize the number of raids they can complete during the limited event window.
Increased Shiny Encounter Chances
Shiny hunters will have an additional reason to participate. Skarmory will feature increased Shiny odds during the Raid Day, giving players a better chance of encountering the rare alternate-colored version.
Skarmory has long been a favorite among collectors, and the introduction of its Mega Evolution alongside boosted Shiny chances is expected to make this one of the more popular Raid Day events of the season.
Timed Research And Premium Rewards
A free Timed Research questline will be available throughout the event. Completing the objectives will reward players with useful items and additional raid-related bonuses.
For trainers looking to maximize their rewards, a paid event ticket will also be available. This ticket provides access to extra Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL opportunities, bonus XP, and additional Stardust rewards from completed raids.
Another Busy Month For Pokémon GO
The Mega Skarmory Raid Day continues a packed schedule of Pokémon GO events throughout June. Between seasonal activities, special research opportunities, and raid rotations, Niantic appears determined to keep trainers active throughout the month.
