Nintendo fans may not have to wait much longer for the company’s next major presentation. According to a new report from industry insider Jeff Grubb, Nintendo is expected to host a Nintendo Direct next week, with the event potentially taking place on June 10 depending on regional time zones.
While Nintendo has not officially confirmed any showcase at the time of writing, the latest information significantly narrows down previous reports that suggested a presentation would arrive sometime in mid-June.
A General Nintendo Direct Instead of a Partner Showcase
The report indicates that Nintendo is preparing a full Nintendo Direct rather than a Partner Showcase. If accurate, this would mean viewers can expect updates not only from third-party publishers but also from Nintendo’s own first-party studios.
That distinction is important, as general Nintendo Direct broadcasts typically feature the company’s biggest upcoming releases and provide a clearer look at Nintendo’s plans for the months ahead.
With both the Nintendo Switch and the recently launched Switch 2 now part of Nintendo’s ecosystem, many fans are hoping for fresh announcements, release dates, and gameplay reveals for upcoming projects.
Switch 2 Could Take Center Stage
