PlayStation Plus May 2026 Games Now Available for Subscribers

Sony has officially rolled out the May 2026 monthly lineup for PlayStation Plus subscribers, giving players across all membership tiers three new games to claim throughout the month.

As of May 5, subscribers on Essential, Extra, and Premium can now add the latest monthly titles to their libraries. Once claimed, the games remain playable as long as the user maintains an active PlayStation Plus subscription. The current lineup will remain available until June 2, after which a new monthly selection is expected to replace it.

April’s lineup, which included Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, and Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, is no longer claimable for players who missed the window.

May 2026 Essential Games

This month’s Essential lineup offers a mix of sports, Soulslike combat, and action-platforming experiences.

EA Sports FC 26

Available for both PS4 and PS5, EA Sports FC 26 headlines the month with another major football release arriving on the service shortly after launch. The title currently holds a generally favorable reception among players and critics and is likely to become one of the more downloaded PS Plus additions of the year.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

PS5 players can also claim Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, a dark fantasy action RPG inspired by the Soulslike genre. The game has gained attention for its brutal combat, eerie atmosphere, and challenging boss encounters.

Nine Sols

Also included this month is Nine Sols for PS4 and PS5. The hand-drawn action platformer combines fast-paced combat with parry-heavy mechanics inspired by games like Sekiro. Its art direction and lore-focused storytelling have helped it stand out among recent indie releases.

PS4 Games Continue Despite Earlier PlayStation Plans

Interestingly, PlayStation continues to include PS4 titles in the Essential lineup despite earlier announcements suggesting the company would phase out PS4 monthly offerings beginning in January 2026.

While Sony has been heavily pushing PS5-focused content over the past year, the continued support for PS4 users suggests the older console still maintains a large active player base.

Extra and Premium Subscribers Also Face Upcoming Removals

Subscribers on the Extra and Premium tiers still retain access to the larger game catalog added in previous months. April’s additions, including Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, The Crew Motorfest, Football Manager 26 Console, and Warriors: Abyss, remain available for now.

However, several games are scheduled to leave the Extra catalog on May 19. Once removed, subscribers will lose access unless the games are purchased separately.

The departing titles include:

  • Control: Ultimate Edition
  • The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan
  • Soul Hackers 2
  • Sand Land
  • Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition

A Stronger Month for PlayStation Plus?

After mixed reactions to several previous PS Plus lineups, May 2026 appears to be receiving a more positive response from the community. EA Sports FC 26 alone is expected to drive major engagement, while Wuchang and Nine Sols help diversify the lineup with more hardcore and indie-focused experiences.

With additional Extra and Premium catalog updates still expected later this month, PlayStation subscribers may have even more content on the way before May comes to an end.
