Mandatory Verification for Social Features
PlayStation is introducing mandatory age verification for players who want to access communication features. Voice chat, messaging, and party systems will require verification, meaning unverified users will no longer be able to use these functions.
The rollout has already begun in select regions and is expected to expand further throughout 2026. Players who do not verify their age will still be able to access their games and the store, but social interaction features will be restricted.
