Black Ops 7 & Warzone Season 3 Roadmap Revealed

Activision has officially outlined what players can expect from Season 3 across Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone, with the update set to launch on April 2.

The update will roll out simultaneously across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, delivering a major wave of free content that spans multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone. As with previous seasonal updates, this rollout continues the franchise’s steady cadence of post-launch support, expanding both gameplay variety and long-term progression systems.

Multiplayer Expands With Maps and New Modes

Season 3 brings a strong focus on multiplayer variety, introducing a total of nine maps across the season, with five available immediately at launch.

Classic and returning modes are also making a comeback. Demolition returns on day one, while the fan-favorite Aim High mode from the previous title is scheduled to arrive later in Season 3 Reloaded.

A new Snipers Only playlist will also be added, offering a more focused, skill-based experience for long-range combat enthusiasts.

Mid-season, players can expect a brand-new mode called Freerun. Inspired by earlier experimental modes, Freerun introduces a parkour-style race format where up to ten players compete to reach the finish line first. The dedicated Ascent map is designed specifically for this mode, emphasizing movement, speed, and precision. A limited-time Freerun event will accompany its release, offering additional rewards tied to performance.

New Weapons and Mid-Season Unlocks

Season 3’s Battle Pass introduces two new primary weapons at launch. The MK35 ISR, a fully automatic assault rifle, focuses on low recoil and strong accuracy, making it a reliable choice across multiple engagement ranges. Alongside it, the VST SMG emphasizes mobility and fast handling, catering to aggressive, close-quarters playstyles.

Additional weapons will become available during a mid-season event. These include the Strider 300 sniper rifle, the 1911 pistol, and the Siren special weapon, further expanding loadout options and playstyle diversity.

Zombies Introduces Totenreich

Zombies fans will receive a new experience mid-season with the introduction of Totenreich.

Set in a remote Norwegian fishing town frozen in time, the map ties into the ongoing Dark Aether storyline, with the location heavily influenced by Group 935’s experiments. The setting suggests a mix of eerie environmental storytelling and layered gameplay mechanics, continuing the narrative-driven approach that recent Zombies content has leaned into.

Warzone Updates Verdansk and Adds Avalon

Warzone is also receiving meaningful updates as part of Season 3.

Verdansk will be expanded with a new point of interest known as Launch Pad, adding another strategic hotspot for players to contest during matches.

In addition, Avalon—previously featured in Black Ops Royale—will be integrated into traditional Warzone playlists. This move is expected to refresh the battle royale experience by introducing new terrain, rotations, and tactical opportunities.

New modes and limited-time events will further support Warzone throughout the season, maintaining engagement for both casual and competitive players.

Continued Post-Launch Support

Season 3 reinforces the ongoing support strategy behind Black Ops 7 and Warzone. With each seasonal update, the developers continue to deliver new maps, modes, weapons, and gameplay adjustments, alongside ongoing bug fixes and balance changes.

This consistent flow of content highlights a clear focus on keeping both multiplayer and battle royale experiences evolving, ensuring players always have something new to explore.
