Generation 9 Continues to Expand Pokémon GO
The Carnival of Flamigo event reflects Pokémon GO’s ongoing focus on Generation 9 additions as earlier generations approach completion. With regions such as Paldea and Galar still offering numerous unreleased Pokémon, these updates help maintain a steady flow of new content.
Ahead of this event, Pokémon GO will also run the Into the Depths event from January 27 to February 1, 2026, which is set to introduce Glimmet to the game.
Looking further ahead, the expected arrival of Generation 10 Pokémon in 2026 could significantly expand the future pool of catchable Pokémon, potentially shaping Pokémon GO’s content roadmap beyond the current Paldea rollout.
