A recent leak has unveiled what appears to be an in-game image of Mega Starmie, one of the new Mega Evolutions set to debut in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. While the game has no official release date yet, it’s expected to launch sometime in 2025 and will introduce several new takes on classic Pokémon.
Starmie, originally introduced in Generation 1 as a Water/Psychic-type Pokémon, evolves from Staryu using a Water Stone. Famously used by Misty in the anime series, Starmie now returns in a new form—albeit with only subtle changes. According to the leaked image shared by Centro Leaks, Mega Starmie retains its core shape and color scheme but features longer limbs, suggesting a form more suited for mobility, potentially even terrestrial movement. The image appears to show the Pokémon underwater, with a predominantly blue tone and minimal design changes.
Centro Leaks claims the image is legitimate and aligns with earlier reports describing Mega Starmie as having elongated legs “to run around.” While all leaks should be approached with caution, this one seems to match previous descriptions closely.
27 Mega Evolutions Coming to Legends: Z-A
This leak follows previous reports hinting at 27 new Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Alongside Starmie, several other fan-favorite Pokémon are rumored to receive Mega forms, including:
- Victreebel
- Dragonite
- Meganium
- Feraligatr
- Emboar
- Chesnaught
- Delphox
- Greninja
Design details for some of these have already surfaced. For example:
- Mega Meganium is said to sport four vibrant flowers around its neck.
- Mega Emboar reportedly draws inspiration from ancient Chinese warriors, featuring a fiery spear as part of its design.
- Mega Feraligatr allegedly boasts large red spikes and a helmet-like structure on its head and back.

Whether Mega Starmie will impress in battle remains to be seen, but one thing is clear—Pokémon Legends: Z-A is shaping up to be a major release in 2025.
