Pokémon GO Datamine Points to Zorua for October Community Day

Pokémon GO players may already know which Pokémon will take center stage during October’s Community Day. A recent datamine points toward Zorua as the featured Pokémon for the event scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026.

The information reportedly surfaced through The Silph Road community on Reddit. According to the datamined information, the October Community Day will run from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. local time.

While the date and event window were already part of Pokémon GO’s upcoming schedule, the featured Pokémon had not yet been officially revealed.

Zorua Could Take Over October Community Day

If the datamine proves accurate, Zorua will appear much more frequently in the wild throughout the three-hour Community Day window.

Community Days traditionally give players significantly better opportunities to hunt for the Shiny version of the featured Pokémon. They also make it much easier to collect large amounts of Candy and usually introduce additional bonuses designed around catching and evolving the featured species.

For Zorua, that could make October 10 particularly valuable for players who have struggled to collect enough Zorua Candy or who are still searching for a Shiny.

The event is expected to take place during the following window:

  • Date: Saturday, October 10, 2026
  • Time: 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. local time
  • Leaked featured Pokémon: Zorua
  • Expected highlight: Increased Zorua encounters and improved Shiny hunting opportunities

Additional bonuses and any potential Featured Attack remain unknown.

Pokémon GO Previously Revealed the Community Day Schedule

Earlier this summer, Pokémon GO revealed the dates and times for several Community Day events scheduled for the next season. However, the developer deliberately left out one important detail: the Pokémon that would headline each event.

That approach isn’t unusual.

Pokémon GO often confirms its broader seasonal calendar first before providing complete information about individual events closer to their respective dates. It gives players time to reserve the dates without revealing every surprise months in advance.

Dataminers, however, sometimes get there first.

The latest discovery appears to have revealed Zorua ahead of the planned October announcement.

Players Should Still Treat the Zorua Leak With Caution

Despite the apparent evidence found in the game’s data, players should remember that Zorua has not yet been officially confirmed as October’s Community Day Pokémon.

Datamines can provide highly convincing information, but content discovered inside game files can still change before release. Event configurations, bonuses and even featured Pokémon can potentially be adjusted before an official announcement.

For now, Zorua should therefore be considered the likely featured Pokémon rather than a confirmed one.

An official announcement is expected closer to October.

An Early Opportunity to Prepare

Should Zorua receive the October Community Day spotlight, players now have considerably more time to prepare.

Those interested in Shiny hunting can reserve the three-hour event window, while players focused on progression can prepare storage space, Poké Balls, Berries and other resources ahead of time.

It could also provide one of the easiest opportunities yet to collect large amounts of Zorua Candy.

Community Day events remain among Pokémon GO’s most popular recurring activities because they concentrate several worthwhile bonuses into a relatively short period. Knowing the featured Pokémon weeks in advance makes planning considerably easier.

Datamines Continue to Beat Official Pokémon GO Announcements

The apparent Zorua discovery is another example of how difficult it has become to keep live-service event information hidden until its intended reveal.

Pokémon GO can announce dates without revealing the Pokémon involved, but event data eventually needs to make its way into the game. Once that happens, dataminers have an opportunity to uncover details before the developer is ready to announce them publicly.

For players, that creates an interesting choice between waiting for official information or using leaked details to prepare early.

In this case, the leaked information gives players nearly two months of advance warning.

Unless plans change, October 10 could belong to Zorua.
