Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players are running out of time to add one of the game’s rarest event Pokemon to their collection. The limited-time Mightiest Mark Magikarp 7-Star Tera Raid ends on August 6, after which the special Pokemon will no longer be available to catch.
While many fans are eagerly waiting for Pokemon Winds and Waves, the next mainline Pokemon games are widely expected to launch in late 2027. Until then, Game Freak continues to support Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with new raids, Mass Outbreaks, and limited-time events that give trainers fresh challenges every month.
Last Chance to Catch Mightiest Mark Magikarp
The current 7-Star Tera Raid event gives players the opportunity to battle and catch a unique Magikarp carrying the prestigious Mightiest Mark. Like previous 7-Star raid Pokemon, trainers can only catch one per save file, making it a prized collectible.
The event ends on August 6, meaning this is the final opportunity to claim the exclusive Magikarp before the next batch of events takes over. Unless Game Freak decides to rerun the raid in the future, players who miss it could be waiting a long time for another chance.
New Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Events Begin August 7
As soon as the Magikarp event concludes, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will roll out four weeks of new content featuring powerful 7-Star Tera Raid bosses alongside themed Mass Outbreaks.

Scarlet and Violet Continues to Receive New Content
Although Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launched in 2022, Game Freak has shown no signs of slowing down support for the ninth-generation titles. With Pokemon Winds and Waves still expected to be some time away, players can continue looking forward to regular event rotations featuring exclusive Pokemon, unique Marks, boosted Shiny odds, and powerful Tera Raid battles.
If you haven’t already claimed the Mightiest Mark Magikarp, now is the time. Once the event ends on August 6, trainers will have to move on to the next lineup of special raids beginning the following day.
