Players who have supported the Call of Duty franchise on Steam over the past several years are getting a special bonus when purchasing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Activision has announced a loyalty program that gives eligible Steam users a 10% discount on the Vault Edition, provided they meet a few simple requirements before launch.
The offer is designed to reward returning players who have owned and played previous premium Call of Duty titles on the same Steam account.
Who Is Eligible for the Discount?
The loyalty discount is available to players who digitally purchased and played at least one qualifying Call of Duty game on Steam. Any edition of the eligible games counts toward the promotion.
Eligible titles include:
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered
- Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
- Call of Duty: Vanguard
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022)
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023)
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
To receive the discount, players must pre-order the Vault Edition on the same Steam account used to play one of the qualifying games.
Important Loyalty Discount Rules
Before placing a pre-order, there are a few restrictions players should know.
- The promotion only applies to the Vault Edition.
- The 10% discount is only available before October 23, 2026.
- The discount should automatically appear during checkout.
- The offer cannot be combined with a later Vault Edition upgrade.
- Buying the Standard Edition first and upgrading later will not qualify for the discount.

Pre-Order Bonuses Explained
Both the Standard Edition and Vault Edition include several bonuses for players who pre-order before launch.
Early Open Beta Access
Pre-ordering either edition grants Early Access to the upcoming Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta. Players who purchase digitally will automatically receive access without needing a separate beta code.
Those who do not pre-order will still be able to participate once the open beta becomes available.
Hunter Killer Operator Skin
Players who pre-order either edition immediately unlock the Hunter Killer Operator Skin for use in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone. The same Operator will also be available when Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23.
Exclusive Vault Edition Content
Beyond the standard bonuses, Vault Edition owners receive several exclusive cosmetic and gameplay rewards.
The Hostile Alliance Operator Pack adds Price, Ghost, Valeria and newcomer Blix with multiple cosmetic variants.
The Special Forces Operator Pack introduces four themed Operators representing:

Each includes unique voice packs in their native language.

The Vault Edition also comes with five exclusive weapons and blueprints:

Standard Edition Upgrade
Players who purchase the Standard Edition can still upgrade to the Vault Edition later for $30 USD.
However, Activision confirms that upgrading later does not qualify for the 10% loyalty discount, making the pre-order promotion exclusive to direct Vault Edition purchases.
