Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players have a new reason to return to Paldea. While the games have largely entered maintenance mode as Nintendo shifts its focus toward newer Pokemon releases, a fresh Summer 2026 event offers several limited-time activities, including rare Mass Outbreaks, a new 7-Star Tera Raid, and increased chances to catch highly sought-after Pokemon with exclusive Marks.
The event is especially valuable for players looking to complete their collections or hunt rare shiny Pokemon before the event comes to an end.
Magikarp the Unrivaled Headlines the Event
The biggest addition is the arrival of Magikarp the Unrivaled in a special 7-Star Tera Raid Battle.
Like previous Mightiest Mark raids, players can catch the featured Pokemon once per save file. Defeating the raid also rewards valuable items, making it worth repeating even after claiming the Magikarp.
Every Magikarp caught from this event comes with the exclusive Mightiest Mark, which is only available during this limited-time raid.
Rare Mass Outbreaks Return
Alongside the Tera Raid, special Mass Outbreaks are appearing across Paldea with increased chances of finding Pokemon carrying rare Marks.
Featured Pokemon include:
- Dondozo
- Tatsugiri
- Veluza
Collectors can also improve their chances further by using sandwiches that boost both shiny odds and Mark encounters.
The Teal Mask DLC Adds Even Better Rewards
Players who own The Teal Mask DLC receive an even bigger bonus.
Until August 6, 2026, Kitakami will feature guaranteed daily Mass Outbreaks of:
- White Stripe Basculin
- Feebas
Both Pokemon are normally extremely uncommon, making this one of the easiest opportunities to farm shiny versions or Pokemon with rare Marks.
During the event:
- Feebas has an increased chance to appear with the Prideful Mark.
- White Stripe Basculin has an increased chance to appear with the Ferocious Mark.
How to Evolve the Event Pokemon
Players planning to keep their catches should remember the special evolution requirements.
Feebas evolves into Milotic through trading.
White Stripe Basculin evolves into Basculegion after surviving a total of 294 points of recoil damage before leveling up.
Because both evolutions can be difficult to obtain under normal circumstances, this event provides one of the best farming opportunities available.
You Can Keep the Event Longer
As with previous Pokemon Scarlet and Violet event distributions, players can extend access beyond the official end date.
If you download the event before August 6 and avoid reconnecting the game online afterward, the event data remains stored locally, allowing you to continue participating until the next online update is received.
A Welcome Reason to Return
Although Pokemon Scarlet and Violet appear to be nearing the end of their active event cycle, this Summer 2026 event offers worthwhile rewards for both collectors and competitive players. Between the exclusive Magikarp the Unrivaled raid, boosted Mass Outbreaks, and guaranteed DLC encounters featuring White Stripe Basculin and Feebas, there is plenty to keep trainers busy before support eventually winds down.
