Battlefield 6 Season 4 Brings Naval Combat, Tsuru Reef Map, and Major Gameplay Changes

Battlefield 6 is preparing for one of its biggest content drops yet. Season 4: Pacific Front launches on July 21, introducing naval combat, a brand-new Pacific map, fresh weapons, additional vehicles, and a long list of gameplay improvements. Update 1.4.1.0 also delivers balancing changes, Ranked updates, and several quality-of-life improvements across the game.

Battlefield 6 Season 4 Release Times

The rollout for the new season happens in two stages:

  • Update 1.4.1.0: July 21 at 4:00 AM ET
  • Season 4: Pacific Front: July 21 at 8:00 AM ET

Players can download the update before jumping into the new content once Season 4 officially begins.

Naval Combat Takes Center Stage

The biggest addition in Season 4 is the introduction of expanded naval combat. Players can now fight across land, sea, and air as dynamic waves reshape the battlefield throughout each match.

The new water systems aim to make coastal battles feel more alive while encouraging squads to coordinate attacks using multiple vehicle types instead of relying only on infantry.

New Battlefield 6 Map: Tsuru Reef

Season 4 introduces Tsuru Reef, a Pacific island battlefield built around amphibious warfare.

The map combines beaches, open water, dense islands, and elevated positions, allowing players to transition between naval engagements, infantry combat, and aerial dogfights without interruption. Dynamic wave conditions can also change how players approach objectives during a match.

New Vehicles Join the Battlefield

Two new boats expand Battlefield 6’s vehicle roster:

  • RCB-90 Patrol Boat – A fast two-seat combat boat designed for aggressive naval engagements.
  • 7.7m NSW RHIB – A four-seat transport boat supplied by REDSEC that helps squads move quickly across water.

These additions give teams more options for flanking, transporting troops, and launching amphibious assaults.

Three New Weapons Arrive

Season 4 adds three weapons for players to unlock:

  • BROD 3 – A versatile carbine suited for medium-range combat.
  • EF88 – A modern bullpup assault rifle offering strong all-around performance.
  • VSSM – A designated marksman rifle featuring an integrated suppressor, subsonic ammunition, and full-auto firing capability.

The update also introduces two new attachments:

  • Extended Barrel – Increases projectile velocity while reducing weapon mobility.
  • 1P86 LPVO Scope – Offers both 1.50x and 4.50x magnification for greater flexibility.

Ranked and Battle Pass Updates

Season 4 launches with an entirely new Battle Pass alongside the premium BF Pro progression path.

REDSEC also begins a new Ranked Battle Royale season featuring updated leaderboards, permanent rewards, interface improvements, and several competitive gameplay refinements.

Large Gameplay Improvements and Balance Changes

Update 1.4.1.0 includes improvements across nearly every major system in Battlefield 6.

Water gameplay receives significant attention with smoother swimming, improved resurfacing, better drag-and-revive mechanics, enhanced vehicle interactions on water, and upgraded wave visuals and audio effects.

Additional fixes and balancing adjustments cover:

  • Player movement improvements.
  • Gadget refinements.
  • Weapon balancing.
  • Vehicle tuning.
  • HUD and interface improvements.
  • Audio fixes.
  • Portal SDK updates.
  • AI bot improvements.
  • Ranked progression clarity.
  • Reduced effectiveness of the M320A1 and Cluster Munitions traits.
  • Weapon balancing for underwater combat.

Battlefield 6 Continues Expanding

Season 4: Pacific Front focuses heavily on expanding Battlefield 6’s combined-arms gameplay. With naval combat now playing a much larger role, alongside a new Pacific battlefield, additional weapons, and extensive gameplay improvements, the update delivers one of the game’s largest seasonal content drops to date.

Whether players enjoy infantry combat, vehicle warfare, or competitive Ranked play, Season 4 introduces plenty of new content to explore when it launches on July 21.
