Leaked Trophy Lists Suggest Classic Black Ops Features May Be Missing on PS4 and PS5

Newly leaked trophy lists for the upcoming PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are raising concerns that several classic multiplayer features may not be returning with the ports.

While Activision and Iron Galaxy have confirmed the games are direct ports rather than full remasters, the companies have yet to reveal a release date, pricing, or a complete breakdown of what content will be included. However, recently discovered trophy lists may offer an early glimpse into what players can expect.

Black Ops May Be Missing Theater Mode and Wager Matches

The leaked trophy list for the original Call of Duty: Black Ops appears to be missing two trophies that were part of the PlayStation 3 release.

The absent trophies are:

  • Date Night – awarded for watching a film or clip using Theater Mode.
  • In the Money – awarded for completing five Wager Matches.

Because these trophies are tied directly to their respective game modes, their absence has led many fans to speculate that Theater Mode and Wager Matches may not be included in the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 ports.

Both features were popular additions to the original game, with Theater Mode allowing players to save and review multiplayer matches, while Wager Matches offered a high-risk competitive mode where players bet in-game currency on their performance.

Black Ops 2 Trophy Change Raises League Play Questions

The leaked trophy list for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 also includes one notable change.

The original Big Leagues trophy required players to win five League Play matches after completing placement games. In the leaked version, that requirement has reportedly been replaced with a much simpler objective: starting the main campaign.

The dramatic change has sparked speculation that League Play may no longer be included in the port, or that the competitive mode has been significantly reworked.

League Play was one of Black Ops 2’s defining multiplayer features and remains fondly remembered by many competitive Call of Duty fans.

DLC Support Remains Unclear

Interestingly, the leaked trophy data still includes separate trophy lists for each downloadable content pack, mirroring how the PlayStation 3 versions handled DLC.

That does not necessarily confirm the DLC will be included with the ports. It also remains unknown whether players who previously purchased the content on PlayStation 3 will receive any entitlement or whether the expansions will be sold separately.

Activision has yet to clarify how downloadable content will be handled.

Native PS5 Versions Appear Likely

The leaks also show separate trophy lists for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of each game.

If accurate, this suggests that Activision and Iron Galaxy are preparing native PlayStation 5 releases rather than relying solely on PlayStation 4 versions running through backward compatibility.

Nothing Has Been Officially Confirmed

It’s worth noting that trophy lists do not always represent the final version of a game. Developers occasionally modify achievements before launch, and some trophies may simply have been condensed or redesigned.

Until Activision officially details the feature set, it’s impossible to confirm whether Theater Mode, Wager Matches, or League Play have actually been removed.

Even so, the leaked lists have already sparked discussion among longtime Call of Duty fans, many of whom were hoping the ports would preserve the complete multiplayer experience from the original releases.
