Pokemon Winds and Waves Leak Hints at Seven New Gen 10 Pokemon

New Pokemon Winds and Waves leaks have surfaced online, potentially giving fans their first glimpse at several brand-new Generation 10 Pokemon. While the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 titles have remained largely under wraps since their reveal, a trusted leaker has now shared a series of cryptic riddles that may tease seven completely new creatures.

Although nothing has been officially confirmed by Nintendo or The Pokemon Company, the source behind these claims has a strong history of accurately leaking Pokemon information, making this rumor one of the most interesting Gen 10 developments so far.

Reliable Leaker Shares New Pokemon Riddles

The latest information comes from well-known Pokemon leak account Centro Leaks, which shared a collection of mysterious images reportedly provided by veteran Pokemon insider Billy. Instead of directly revealing new Pokemon designs, the images act as riddles, leaving fans to piece together possible inspirations and typings.

Billy has previously built a solid reputation within the Pokemon community, including correctly leaking the arrival of Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen on Nintendo Switch before their official announcement.

If these latest riddles are accurate, players could be looking at seven entirely new Pokemon species in Pokemon Winds and Waves.

The Seven Rumored Gen 10 Pokemon

Based on the leaked riddles, the following Pokemon are believed to be part of the Generation 10 Pokedex:

Pirate Bird Pokemon

The first creature appears to be a bird Pokemon with pirate-inspired elements. The riddle suggests features such as a wooden leg, hinting at a swashbuckling design unlike anything currently seen in the series.

Kangaroo Pokemon

Another Pokemon is believed to be based on the Vogelkop Tree Kangaroo. The clues also reference boxing and Nepal’s Machapuchare mountain, leading fans to speculate it could become a Fighting-type, Rock-type, or even a combination of both.

Fire-Spitting Komodo Dragon

A Komodo dragon Pokemon also appears in the leak. The creature may possess the ability to spit fire, continuing earlier rumors that a Komodo dragon would appear in Generation 10.

Interestingly, the leak suggests this Pokemon is unrelated to Gecqua, meaning the Water-type starter’s evolution line may not be based on a Komodo dragon after all.

Long-Beaked Echidna

One of the more unusual leaks points toward a long-beaked echidna inspired by Overwatch hero Ana. Fans speculate the Pokemon may use its long beak similarly to a sniper rifle, potentially creating one of the most unique battle concepts in recent Pokemon history.

Tapir Pokemon

The fifth rumored Pokemon is a tapir with references to a famous Buddha statue in Thailand. Some fans believe this could be a completely new species, while others think it might be a regional form of Drowzee, which is already based on a tapir.

Moon Rabbit

Another riddle hints at a rabbit Pokemon connected to the moon. The clues suggest it may represent one half of a paired concept alongside another newly leaked Pokemon.

Sun Hornbill

The final rumored Pokemon is based on the knobbed hornbill, a bird species native to Indonesia. Unlike the rabbit, this Pokemon appears to draw inspiration from the sun.

Could Winds and Waves Have Version Exclusives?

One popular theory emerging from the leaks is that the rabbit and hornbill could become version-exclusive Pokemon.

The moon naturally connects with tides and waves, making the rabbit a fitting exclusive for Pokemon Waves. Meanwhile, the sun has long been associated with wind and weather, making the hornbill a possible mascot for Pokemon Winds.

If true, this would continue Nintendo’s efforts to make each version feel more distinct. Earlier information already suggested that the protagonist’s clothing changes depending on whether players choose Winds or Waves.

Fans Will Need to Wait for Official Confirmation

As exciting as these leaks may be, they should still be treated as rumors until Nintendo and The Pokemon Company officially reveal more information.

Outside of the game’s announcement trailer, very little has been confirmed about Pokemon Winds and Waves. Players currently only know the game’s title, the three starter Pokemon, and a handful of locations shown during the initial reveal.

With no major announcements expected until next year, leaks and speculation are likely to dominate the conversation around Generation 10 for the foreseeable future.

Whether these mysterious riddles ultimately prove accurate remains to be seen, but they have certainly given Pokemon fans plenty to discuss.
