StarRupture’s developers have shared an early look at some of the features currently planned for Update 2, giving players a glimpse at several quality-of-life improvements that aim to make building and factory management much smoother.
Since the game’s Early Access launch, the team has continued releasing both small and large hotfixes to address bugs and implement community feedback. According to the developers, player reports and suggestions have played a major role in shaping the current and future direction of the game.
Developers Continue Improving the Early Access Experience
The studio thanked players for their ongoing support and explained that community comments and bug reports are constantly being reviewed and analyzed. This feedback has helped guide many of the improvements that have already been introduced and continues to influence upcoming updates.
While Update 2 is still in development and the features shown remain work in progress, several additions have already been revealed.
Building Copy and Paste Tools Incoming
One of the most notable additions is the ability to copy buildings along with their settings and parameters. Players will also be able to copy and paste configuration settings between structures, making large-scale factory management significantly easier.
These tools should reduce repetitive setup work and allow players to expand their operations more efficiently.
Drone Roundabouts Receive an Overhaul
Another major change planned for Update 2 is a redesign of drone roundabouts. While specific details have not yet been revealed, the overhaul is intended to improve the flow and organization of drone traffic throughout player bases.
More information about this feature is expected closer to the update’s release.
Multi-Deconstruct Feature Will Speed Up Base Changes
Players looking to redesign or relocate parts of their factories will benefit from a new multi-deconstruct option. This feature will allow multiple structures to be removed more quickly, saving time compared to dismantling buildings one by one.
Buildings Can Be Removed Without Platforms
Update 2 also introduces the ability to deconstruct buildings without requiring platforms underneath them. This should make modifying existing layouts less restrictive and give players greater flexibility when reorganizing their factories.
Production Rates Displayed as Items Per Minute
Another welcome improvement is the addition of crafting information displayed as items produced per minute. This change should provide players with clearer insights into production chains and help optimize factory efficiency.
More Features Are Still Planned
The developers emphasized that the preview only represents part of what Update 2 will bring. Additional features and details are expected to be revealed at a later date as development continues.
With several quality-of-life improvements already confirmed, Update 2 appears set to make building and automation in StarRupture considerably more convenient for both new and veteran players.
