GTA 6 Launch Prompts California Business to Pause Operations

Grand Theft Auto 6 is already having an impact beyond the gaming industry, with one Southern California business deciding to temporarily pause operations so employees can enjoy Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated release.

Car Performance Shop Plans Around GTA 6 Release

Burger Motorsports, a performance tuning company based in Simi Valley, California, announced that it will suspend normal operations on November 19, the day Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to launch. According to an internal notice shared publicly on June 11, the company expects much of its staff to be busy experiencing the game’s opening hours and wants to avoid unexpected disruptions to customers.

As a result, customer support, shipping, order processing, and social media activity are expected to slow down temporarily while employees take time to play the game.

The unusual announcement quickly attracted attention from the gaming community, with many players praising the company for embracing what some have described as one of the biggest entertainment releases in recent history.

Rockstar Confirms Pre-Order Date

Rockstar Games recently confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders will officially begin on June 25. Players will be able to reserve the game through digital storefronts and selected retailers.

The company also revealed the official cover artwork, featuring the game’s two protagonists, Jason and Lucia. The pair will headline the next chapter in the series, which is set to release later this year.

November Release Date Appears Firm

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has repeatedly reaffirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 remains scheduled for release on November 19. With pre-orders opening in late June, many fans believe the date is becoming increasingly certain.

The launch is expected to become one of the biggest events in gaming history, with analysts and industry observers predicting enormous day-one sales figures.

Burger Motorsports referred to the release as an “unprecedented cultural event,” a sentiment shared by many fans who have already announced plans to take vacation days or arrange time off to play the game.

Price Still Remains a Mystery

Despite the growing excitement, one major question remains unanswered: how much Grand Theft Auto 6 will cost.

Current console releases generally launch at $69.99, while some publishers have started experimenting with higher price points. Nintendo has already sold select games at $79.99, and rumors surrounding Grand Theft Auto 6 have suggested prices that could potentially reach $100.

However, Rockstar Games has not officially announced the game’s retail price, leaving fans waiting for further details ahead of the June 25 pre-order launch.

With anticipation continuing to build and businesses even adjusting their schedules around launch day, Grand Theft Auto 6 is shaping up to be one of the most significant video game releases of the decade.
