Pokémon GO Confirms Sobble for July 2026 Community Day

Pokémon GO players can officially look forward to another starter-themed Community Day, as Niantic has announced that Sobble will be the featured Pokémon during the July 2026 event. The Water-type starter from the Galar region will take center stage, giving Trainers the chance to catch large numbers of Sobble and hunt for its shiny variant.

Community Days continue to be among the most popular recurring events in Pokémon GO, offering exclusive moves, bonuses, and increased spawn rates. July’s event follows June’s Frigibax Community Day and gives fans another opportunity to strengthen their collection with a powerful evolution.

Sobble Community Day Takes Place on July 4

The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. During those hours, Sobble will appear much more frequently in the wild.

As with previous Community Days, lucky players may encounter a Shiny Sobble. Some encounters may also feature a special background, making them even more desirable for collectors.

Inteleon Receives Two Powerful Charged Attacks

Players who evolve Drizzile into Inteleon during the event or within four hours after it ends will receive an Inteleon that knows the exclusive Charged Attack Hydro Cannon.

In addition, Inteleon will permanently gain access to its signature attack, Snipe Shot, beginning with the event.

Snipe Shot offers:

Trainer Battles

  • 65 power.
  • Chance to increase the user’s Attack by two stages.

Gyms and Raids

  • 100 power.

The combination of Hydro Cannon and Snipe Shot could make Inteleon an attractive option for PvP enthusiasts and collectors alike.

Event Bonuses Return

July’s Community Day will include several familiar bonuses:

  • Increased Sobble spawns.
  • Chance to encounter Shiny Sobble.
  • Event-exclusive evolution move.
  • Special background encounters.
  • Optional paid Special Research ticket.

Players who purchase the Special Research ticket will receive additional rewards, including:

  • Three special background Sobble encounters.
  • More Sobble encounters.
  • One Premium Battle Pass.
  • One Rare Candy XL.
  • Additional bonus items.

Another Starter Joins the Community Day Lineup

Starter Pokémon have traditionally been some of the most popular Community Day choices, thanks to their exclusive moves and their appeal to long-time fans of the series. With Sobble finally receiving its turn in the spotlight, Trainers will be able to complete another starter Community Day collection while adding a stronger Inteleon to their roster.

As July approaches, players will have plenty of opportunities to prepare Poké Balls, stock up on berries, and clear storage space before the Water Lizard Pokémon makes its debut as the latest Community Day star
