Jackass Is Officially Back This Summer

There is still some good left in this world for fans of outrageous comedy. A brand-new, still officially untitled Jackass movie has been confirmed, and this time audiences won’t have to wait another decade for the next round of chaos.

Johnny Knoxville, the longtime face of the franchise, shared the iconic skull-and-crutches logo on January 8, accompanied by a simple but powerful date: June 26. Along with the post, Knoxville confirmed that a new Jackass movie is officially happening and will hit theaters this summer.

What We Know So Far

At the moment, details about the film are being kept tightly under wraps. No cast list has been revealed, and there is no confirmation yet on which familiar faces or guest stars will be involved. What is clear, however, is that the spirit of the franchise remains intact.

Knoxville celebrated the announcement in classic style, teasing that the crew is kicking off the year “with a bang” and promising fans that more information is coming soon.

Who Might Return?

The most recent entry, Jackass Forever from 2022, brought back most of the original cast from the early 2000s TV series, while also introducing a new generation of stunt performers to carry the torch forward.

Some absences were deeply felt. Ryan Dunn, who tragically passed away in 2011, was last seen in Jackass 3D in 2010. Bam Margera, another key figure in the franchise, did not appear in Jackass Forever due to ongoing personal struggles and a complicated relationship with the rest of the crew. While Margera is now sober, there has been no indication that he will return for this upcoming film.

Whether the newer cast members introduced in the last movie will reprise their roles is also still unknown.

A Proven Box Office Powerhouse

Despite its outrageous nature and relatively modest production budgets, the Jackass franchise has been a major financial success. Across four main films and the Bad Grandpa spin-off, the series has generated more than $560 million worldwide at the box office.

The brand even ventured into gaming with a 2007 video game release, though that experiment is best remembered as a curiosity rather than a triumph.

Why This Comeback Matters

The return of Jackass is more than just another sequel announcement. It signals that there is still a strong appetite for raw, physical comedy in an era dominated by digital effects and heavily polished blockbusters. For longtime fans, it is a nostalgic reunion. For newer audiences, it is another chance to experience the franchise’s unique blend of absurdity, shock, and genuine camaraderie.

With a June release date locked in and more news expected soon, one thing is certain: summer is about to get a lot louder, messier, and more painful — in the best possible way.
