Pokémon Gen 10 “Wind and Wave” Leak Roundup — Late December 2025

A new wave of alleged Generation 10 materials surfaced in late December 2025, claimed to originate from an early build of the next Pokémon titles, commonly referred to as Pokémon Wind and Wave (also seen as Winds and Waves). The leak follows the October 2024 “Teraleak” and was flagged by multiple sources as coming from internal development assets.

As with all leaks, the information below remains unconfirmed and should be treated with caution.

“Majin Pikachu” Animation Explained

One of the most discussed pieces is a short animation clip featuring a Level 30 male Pikachu surrounded by a pulsing, shiny-like glow. During the animation, parts of Pikachu’s body appear to warp and distort unnaturally. The leaker referred to this asset as “Majin Pikachu.”

The term “Majin” has appeared in earlier Gen 10 rumor cycles as a possible internal codename for a new battle gimmick, potentially connected to weather-based mechanics. However, the animation itself looks unstable and unfinished.

Two technical interpretations stand out:

  • The clip may represent a model or animation test, showcasing deformation limits or shader behavior during early development.
  • Alternatively, it could be an early experiment tied to a rumored system allowing extreme or near-infinite variations of certain Pokémon species.

At this stage, the clip appears more consistent with prototype testing than a finalized gameplay mechanic.

Urban Environments and Traversal Hints

Another leaked image shows a large, dense city environment combining modern skyscrapers with traditional architectural elements. A Charizard is visible above the city, while a silhouetted player character appears to be riding a scooter-like board.

This aligns closely with earlier rumors about Rotom Scooter-style traversal, suggesting faster movement and improved navigation in large-scale environments. The verticality and density of the city hint at a stronger focus on urban exploration compared to previous generations.

Characters and Locations

Additional leaked assets include:

  • Professor concept silhouette: An illustrated outline of the Gen 10 Professor, showing an older, bearded figure after a facial paint-over. This would mark a notable shift from more youthful or stylized professor designs.
  • Tropical Pokémon Center render: An early visual of a Pokémon Center located on a tropical island, reinforcing long-standing rumors of an island-chain region.

Both assets appear early-stage but are thematically consistent with travel, climate diversity, and regional separation.

Island Count and World Scope

According to the leak details, the Gen 10 region may consist of:

  • Approximately 54 total islands
  • Around 15 larger, main islands
  • Numerous smaller islands, potentially procedurally generated

If accurate, this would represent one of the most ambitious regional designs in the franchise, combining handcrafted core locations with smaller exploration-focused areas. Such a structure would naturally support sea traversal, weather systems, and regional Pokémon variations.

Expected Reveal Timing

Despite the growing number of leaks, an official announcement is reportedly planned for Pokémon Day on February 27, 2026. This timing would align with the franchise’s long-standing tradition of major reveals on that date.

Until then, all information remains speculative, though the consistency between this leak batch and earlier Gen 10 rumors has drawn significant attention within the community.
