ARC Raiders: New Stella Montis Out-of-Bounds Glitch Emerges

ARC Raiders players have uncovered yet another out-of-bounds (OOB) exploit on the Stella Montis map, only hours after a recent hotfix went live. The discovery has quickly spread through the community, sparking renewed frustration among players trying to enjoy fair and legitimate matches.

What Happened

Following the latest patch, players identified a new way to leave the playable area of Stella Montis. The method was rapidly shared across social media, leading to concerns that the exploit could become widespread before an official fix is deployed.

Much like earlier incidents, the exploit allows players to remain unseen while still being able to eliminate opponents, giving an overwhelming and unfair advantage.

Recent History and Prior Fixes

This is not the first time Stella Montis has been affected by out-of-bounds issues. A previous exploit relied on an invisible zipline that launched players through the ceiling, allowing them to roam outside the map while staying invisible to others.

That issue was addressed in Patch 1.6.0 on December 11. The update removed the invisible zipline and resolved several collision and material problems across the map, including:

  • A vault-related fall-through issue in Blue Gate
  • Objects failing to block bullets or ARC vision
  • A collision gap on the Spaceport Launch Tower

Despite these fixes, the new exploit demonstrates that OOB vulnerabilities on Stella Montis remain a persistent problem.

How the New Exploit Works

The newly discovered method involves positioning a player between two large machines on the map. Once stuck, the game prompts the player with the “fix stuck player” option. Activating it teleports the player through the ceiling and places them outside the map boundaries.

From there, the player becomes effectively invisible while still being able to engage and eliminate opponents inside the map, recreating the same balance issues seen in earlier exploits.

Update Timing and Development Constraints

Embark Studios recently shifted to a Tuesday update schedule and announced an upcoming winter break. With regular weekly hotfixes paused during the holiday period, it is possible that this new exploit will not be addressed immediately.

The timing has raised concerns within the community, as the exploit may remain active during a period when developer availability is limited.

What’s Coming Next

A major update, titled Cold Snap, is scheduled to launch on December 16. The update will introduce:

  • Snowfall map conditions
  • The Flickering Flames event
  • A new Raider Deck
  • New Quests
  • The first Expedition departure window, offering a reset or wipe option

Many players are now hoping that the Cold Snap update will also include additional collision checks or safeguards to finally put an end to Stella Montis out-of-bounds exploits.

For now, the situation highlights the ongoing challenge of maintaining map integrity in ARC Raiders, especially as the game continues to evolve and expand.
