ARC Raiders Delays First Expedition Wipe, Giving Players Extra Time to Prepare

ARC Raiders players just received a small but meaningful extension before the first Expedition wipe arrives. The event, originally scheduled for December 15, has now been pushed to December 17, 2025, giving everyone two additional days to prepare before the window closes on December 22.

While a short delay, this shift offers valuable breathing room for players who were still scrambling to gather resources or finish crafting requirements before committing to their first Expedition.

What Are Expeditions in ARC Raiders?

Expeditions function as ARC Raiders’ version of a seasonal prestige reset. Players voluntarily wipe their current Raider in exchange for permanent bonuses that carry into future characters. Once the Expedition window closes, the character is reset and the player begins the next season with improved stats, stash upgrades, and exclusive rewards.

Participating is entirely optional — but for those chasing long-term progression, Expeditions offer benefits that make the next climb smoother and more efficient.

How Expeditions Work in ARC Raiders

Taking part in an Expedition is not a simple decision. Before players can even apply, they must deliver a large amount of resources across multiple project stages. These materials can be gathered in the world or crafted, but the total requirement forms a significant investment of time and effort.

Expedition Material Requirements

Foundation

  • 150 Metal Parts
  • 200 Rubber Parts
  • 80 ARC Alloy
  • 15 Steel Springs

Core Systems

  • 35 Durable Cloth
  • 30 Wires
  • 30 Electrical Components
  • 5 Cooling Fans

Framework

  • 5 Light Bulbs
  • 30 Batteries
  • 20 Sensors
  • 1 Exodus Module

Outfitting

  • 5 Humidifiers
  • 5 Advanced Electrical Components
  • 3 Magnetic Accelerators
  • 3 Leaper Pulse Units

Load Stage

  • 250,000 Coins worth of Combat Items
  • 100,000 Coins worth of Survival Items
  • 180,000 Coins worth of Provisions
  • 300,000 Coins worth of Materials

Departure

Any remaining inventory items are automatically added to the Expedition value. Every one million Coins contributed earns one bonus skill point, up to five total.

For some players, the sheer resource grind may not feel worth the sacrifice — but for others, the long-term advantages outweigh the immediate loss.

Rewards for Completing an Expedition in ARC Raiders

Players who see their Expedition through to completion earn several permanent upgrades that directly improve early-season progression:

Permanent Bonuses

  • Up to 5 bonus skill points (based on total value contributed)
  • +12 permanent stash space
  • Patchwork Raider exclusive outfit

Improved Early-Game Performance

  • 5% XP boost
  • 6% increased Scrappy materials yield
  • 10% repair bonus

For many, these benefits are significant — especially the stash increase and XP boosts, which smooth out the early progression curve for the next Raider. Even players who struggled to reach Level 75 in the first season will find the climb more manageable with these enhancements.

What Players Lose After an Expedition Wipe

The trade-off for these permanent upgrades is substantial. When the Expedition window closes, the following are completely reset:

  • Skill Tree
  • Level
  • Stash
  • Workshop
  • Crafting Abilities
  • Blueprints

While daunting, these resets are at the core of ARC Raiders’ seasonal structure — and the bonuses help offset the fresh start.

Two Extra Days to Prepare Before the Wipe

For the ARC Raiders community, the delay brings mixed reactions. Some players were already fully prepared for December 15 and may feel inconvenienced, while others see the delay as a welcome cushion to finish gathering the hefty list of required materials.

With the new Expedition window set from December 17 to December 22, everyone now has a little more time to finalize preparations before committing to the wipe.
