Players of Palia have reported significant delays when attempting to log in, with queues lasting close to an hour in some cases. The issue has left many frustrated, as time that could be spent exploring Kilima Village or farming resources is instead spent staring at a loading screen.
Reports from the community describe queues with over a thousand players ahead, making it nearly impossible to join during peak hours. Some players say that after finally reaching the front of the line, they were disconnected and forced to restart the process.
Sadly, this also happened with us. It toke me an hour to attempt on logging in, just to be meeted with a 9k player queue. Last time this issue occured in our gaming history, was with Archeage, where we had to wait over 4 Hours due to the major popularity.
Developers Acknowledge the Problem
Singularity 6, the studio behind Palia, has acknowledged that the login system is experiencing strain. According to recent support posts, longer queue times are a known issue that the team is monitoring. In some cases, login has been temporarily disabled to stabilize servers, further adding to delays.
The developers have not provided a clear timeline for a permanent fix but are encouraging players to follow official support channels for updates.
Why It’s Happening
The root cause appears to be server congestion during high-traffic periods. Major updates, community events, or weekends often lead to spikes in player activity that strain server capacity. While login queues are a common method to prevent total crashes, the current wait times are testing player patience.
Impact on the Game
For many, the long queues undermine the cozy, social experience that Palia aims to deliver. Instead of relaxing gameplay, players are stuck in limbo waiting for access. With community events and seasonal updates driving interest, ongoing server issues risk souring the experience for both newcomers and veterans.
