PlayStation Plus Adds Surprise Free Game for June 2025: Fun with the Fitzgeralds

PlayStation Plus subscribers have more than the usual reasons to log in this month. While June 2025 already brought a strong lineup of free titles, Sony has quietly added a surprise fifth game to the list—Fun with the Fitzgeralds, an indie battle royale with a family-friendly twist.

June 2025 PS Plus Free Games List Expanded

Each month, PS Plus members receive a batch of free games to claim and keep as long as they maintain their subscription. June 2025 initially delivered three high-profile titles:

  • Alone in the Dark (Remake)
  • Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
  • NBA 2K25

These were already solid additions, but the ongoing Days of Play event also gave subscribers access to Destiny 2: The Final Shape at no extra cost, pushing the total up to four. Now, with Fun with the Fitzgeralds quietly added, PS Plus subscribers can snag a total of five free games this month.

What is Fun with the Fitzgeralds?

Fun with the Fitzgeralds is a kid-friendly battle royale game for up to eight players. Featuring chaotic mini-games, colorful visuals, and easy-to-learn mechanics, it’s designed to offer quick laughs and casual competition. Available on both PS4 and PS5, the game currently holds a 3.41 user rating—so opinions are mixed, but it’s hard to complain when it’s free.

Players have until June 19 to claim the game through PlayStation Plus. After that, Fun with the Fitzgeralds returns to its regular price—but even then, it’s listed at just $0.69 on the PlayStation Store for non-subscribers.

More on the Horizon for Extra and Premium Subscribers

June has also been packed with updates for PS Plus Extra and Premium members. These tiers not only get the monthly free games but also enjoy a rotating library of additional content. Here’s what’s confirmed next:

  • June 17Deus Ex: The Conspiracy and FBC: Firebreak (PS Plus Extra)
  • July 17Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4 (PS Plus Premium)
  • August 19Sword of the Sea launches as a Day One Extra game
  • Later this summer – Classic PS1 versions of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis join PS Plus Premium

With even more announcements expected soon, June is shaping up to be one of the most content-rich months in recent PlayStation Plus history.
