Nintendo Switch Online subscribers are in for a treat this month as the service has added a fresh batch of profile icons inspired by two classic Legend of Zelda titles: The Adventure of Link (NES) and Ocarina of Time (N64). Fans of the franchise can customize their Switch profiles with nostalgic flair—but only for a short time.
Icon Details and How to Unlock Them
The new icon sets include:
- 5 icons from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
Featuring retro sprite art from the original NES release. - 13 icons from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Showcasing both Young and Adult Link, along with beloved characters like Princess Zelda, Sheik, and Ganondorf.
To unlock these icons, players will need to:
- Launch the respective games through the Nintendo Switch Online app.
- Ocarina of Time requires the Expansion Pack subscription.
- The Adventure of Link is available to all base NSO members.
- Simply booting up each title will grant 50 Platinum Points—or 100 total if you open both.
- Icons cost just 10 Platinum Points each, meaning players can grab multiple even if they start with no points saved up.
Act Fast – Offer Ends June 30
These Zelda-themed icons will disappear after June 30, so fans should act quickly if they want to claim them. As with most Nintendo Switch Online icon offers, these will not be made available again anytime soon.
