GO Stamp Rally Launches in Pokémon GO – First Event Set for Osaka-Kansai Expo

Trainers, get ready to explore like never before. A brand-new feature called the GO Stamp Rally has been officially announced via the Japanese Pokémon GO website, bringing the spirit of real-world stamp rallies into the game. Players will now be able to collect digital stamps by visiting themed PokéStops—making city exploration a core part of the Pokémon GO experience.

What Is the GO Stamp Rally?

The GO Stamp Rally is a new gameplay feature that tasks players with spinning specific PokéStops to collect stamps. Just like traditional stamp rallies in Japan, each rally is centered around a specific theme and location. The goal is to visit all designated PokéStops, collect their stamps, and earn exclusive rewards such as themed items or even Pokémon encounters.

Once you approach a PokéStop that is part of a rally, a stamp sheet will automatically appear in-game. A special rally button will also show up on your map, allowing you to track your progress.

How It Works

  • Look for orange stamp icons above eligible PokéStops.
  • Spin the PokéStop’s Photo Disc to add a stamp to your rally sheet.
  • Each stamp will show the name of the PokéStop and the date it was collected.
  • The intensity of the stamp color changes depending on how long you press the screen—simulating the pressure of an actual stamp.
  • No do-overs: Once you stamp, it’s final. You can’t re-stamp the same location.

Collect enough stamps, and you’ll unlock special rewards tied to that rally’s theme.
