Niantic has quietly rolled out a major change to the Pokémon GO Special Research quest “It’s Not Over Yet,” offering much-needed relief to players who found themselves stuck on the infamously difficult Page 4.
Originally introduced to highlight legendary Pokémon like Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom, the quest quickly became a point of frustration for many. Page 4 previously required players to catch Kyurem, catch Zekrom, and then fuse Kyurem—a nearly impossible task given the limited raid availability of these legendaries.
Without any formal announcement, Niantic has now updated Page 4 with a new and far more achievable set of tasks. Players are now asked to:
- Catch 50 Fire-type Pokémon
- Catch 50 Electric-type Pokémon
- Use 50 Nanab Berries while catching Pokémon
These changes allow players to continue progressing through the questline without relying on time-limited raid events. The update has been met with positive reception from the community, especially those who missed out on the brief availability of the required legendaries.
What Comes After Page 4?
Once players complete the newly revised Page 4, they’ll move on to Page 5, which centers around winning five raids. Interestingly, all three tasks on this page require players to win five raids—meaning any successful raid contributes to all objectives simultaneously. While this still poses a challenge for those in rural areas with fewer raid opportunities, it’s significantly more manageable than the original Page 4.
Synergy with Might and Mastery Questline
Coincidentally, progressing through “It’s Not Over Yet” also aids players in completing the new Might and Mastery Special Research. Page 2 of that quest tasks players with winning three raids and earning 25,000 XP—both of which can be tackled while working through Page 5 of “It’s Not Over Yet.”
It’s worth noting that “Might and Mastery” is not yet fully completable, as future pages will be unlocked in the weeks ahead. Still, players can get a head start thanks to this unexpected overlap.
