Niantic has officially announced the Stunning Styles event for Pokémon GO, set to take place from April 3 to April 7, 2025. This event will introduce new Pokémon, the next installment of the Might and Mastery Special Research, and limited-time bonuses, including an increased chance to encounter select Shiny Pokémon.
Might and Mastery Season Continues
The ongoing Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO is set to run until June 2025, offering players three months of themed events. Following the recent Powerful Potential event, which introduced Kubfu, the Stunning Styles event will expand the roster with new Pokémon and exclusive research opportunities.
Stunning Styles Event Details
- Dates: Thursday, April 3, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, April 7, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
- New Pokémon Debut:Paldean Tauros from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, appearing in three regional variants:
- Combat Breed (Iberian Peninsula)
- Blaze Breed (Eastern Hemisphere)
- Aqua Breed (Western Hemisphere)
- New Special Research: A Striking Shadow, featuring a guaranteed Marshadow encounter for players who haven’t completed the Pokémon GO Fest 2024 Special Research. Players who have already caught Marshadow will instead receive Marshadow Candy.

- Double XP for catching Pokémon.
- Increased Shiny Rates for West Sea Shellos and East Sea Shellos.
- Boosted Wild Encounters for Castform, Burmy, and their respective forms.

- Field Research Tasks: Will grant additional Pokémon encounters with event-themed spawns.
Wild Encounters and Special Opportunities
Throughout the event, several Pokémon from past events will appear more frequently in the wild, with lucky trainers potentially encountering Shiny variants. Both One-Star and Three-Star Raids will feature opportunities to catch rare event-themed Pokémon such as Paldean Tauros, Espurr, and Decidueye.
