Pokémon GO is gearing up for an action-packed month of raids, and one of the highlights is the upcoming Raid Day featuring Mega Absol. Scheduled for March 23, this special event will allow trainers to battle and capture the powerful Mega Evolution of Absol between 2 PM and 5 PM local time.
Legendary and Dynamax Raid Schedule for March
Before Mega Absol takes the spotlight, trainers will have several opportunities to challenge powerful Pokémon in five-star raids and Max Battles:
- March 1 – 13: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres (Five-star raids)
- March 13 – 22: Tapu Koko (Five-star raid, featuring the move Nature’s Madness)
- March 22 – 31: Heatran (Five-star raid)
Trainers can also participate in Max Battles featuring Dynamax Pokémon throughout the month:
- Until March 10: Dynamax Drilbur
- March 17: Dynamax Chansey
- March 23: Dynamax Caterpie
- March 29: Dynamax Scorbunny
Mega Absol Raid Day Details
On March 23, Mega Absol will be available in raids for a limited time, giving trainers a chance to add this dark-type powerhouse to their collection. As an added bonus, Absol caught during and after the event will have access to the Charged Attack Brutal Swing, which has:
- 55 Power in Trainer Battles
- 65 Power in Gyms and Raids
Additionally, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20 between March 20 at 5 PM and March 23 at 8 PM, allowing players to participate in more raids than usual. Trainers can also receive up to five additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs. Lucky players may even encounter a Shiny Mega Absol.
Paid Ticket Bonuses and Timed Research
For trainers looking to maximize their rewards, Pokémon GO is offering a $5 Raid Day Ticket, which includes:
- Eight extra Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs
- Increased chance of receiving Candy XL from raids
- 50% more XP and double Stardust for Mega Absol raids
In addition, Timed Research will be available, offering 10,000 Stardust and an extra 1,000 Stardust upon completion. A special $5 bundle will also be available in the Pokémon GO Web Store, featuring an event ticket and a Premium Battle Pass.

Mega Evolutions will continue to be a focus in March’s raid rotation, with different Mega Pokémon available throughout the month:
