Rockstar Games has released GTA Online Update 1.70 on March 5, 2025, bringing a small but notable set of fixes for PC (Enhanced Edition) players. While this update doesn’t introduce new content, it addresses a couple of frustrating technical issues affecting performance and in-game transactions.
What’s Fixed in GTA Online Update 1.70?
- Frame Rate Cap Issue Resolved
Players who had their Frame Limit set to Off were unknowingly restricted to 120Hz, preventing them from taking full advantage of their high-refresh-rate displays. With this fix, players should now experience unrestricted frame rates based on their hardware capabilities. - Incorrect Charges for Karin S95 Migration Reward Vehicle
Some players reported being charged in-game money when claiming the Karin S95, a vehicle that was supposed to be free as a migration reward. Rockstar has now rectified this issue, ensuring that eligible players receive the car at no cost. It remains unclear whether Rockstar will provide refunds to those who were mistakenly charged before this update.
No Content Additions, but Fixes Are Welcome
While Update 1.70 doesn’t introduce any new vehicles, missions, or game modes, these fixes will improve the overall gameplay experience for affected players. The removal of the frame rate cap is particularly significant for PC users with high-end setups, allowing for smoother performance in Los Santos.
Rockstar Games has yet to announce if more patches are coming soon, but with GTA 6 on the horizon, updates for GTA Online are expected to slow down in the coming months.
