Fuecoco Headlines Pokemon GO’s First Community Day of the New Season
Niantic has officially announced that Fuecoco will be the featured Pokemon for March 2025’s Community Day in Pokemon GO. This event will not only mark the beginning of the game’s next season but also provide trainers with exciting bonuses, increased Fuecoco spawns, and the chance to catch its elusive shiny form.
Fuecoco Community Day Details
Date: Saturday, March 8, 2025
Time: 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time
During the event, Fuecoco, the beloved Fire-type starter from the Paldea region, will appear more frequently in the wild. Additionally, players will have an increased chance of encountering a shiny Fuecoco. Trainers can evolve their Fuecoco into Crocalor and then into Skeledirge up to a week after the event to obtain one that knows the exclusive Charged Attack Blast Burn.
As an added bonus, starting from this event, all Skeledirge will be able to learn the Charged Attack Torch Song, a signature move that will remain permanently available.
Community Day Bonuses
To encourage participation, Pokemon GO will offer the following bonuses throughout the event:
- Triple Stardust from catching Pokemon
- Double Candy from catching Pokemon
- Increased chance of earning Candy XL for players at level 31 and above
- Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Incense) lasting for three hours
- 50% reduced Stardust cost for Trades (active from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time)
- Up to two Special Trades available on the event day
Special Research and Additional Rewards
Trainers can also look forward to exclusive Community Day-themed Special Research and Field Research tasks. These challenges will reward players with Stardust, Great Balls, and additional Fuecoco encounters. Completing certain tasks may also grant a Fuecoco with a unique event background.
Fuecoco’s Community Day event is expected to be a major highlight for Pokemon GO fans, especially since it follows the successful Sprigatito Community Day in January. As Fuecoco’s turn in the spotlight arrives, many are now speculating whether Quaxly, the last remaining Paldean starter, will receive its own Community Day in the near future.
