Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Crossover Rumored for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

Dataminers have uncovered evidence suggesting that a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) crossover is on its way to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The iconic heroes in a half-shell, who have been a fan-favorite franchise since the 1980s, may soon be making their way into the popular first-person shooter.

A History of Call of Duty Crossovers

Since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Activision has continuously evolved its multiplayer experience, introducing new game modes, weapons, cosmetics, and collaborations with various IPs. Recent installments have seen crossovers with The Boys, Godzilla vs. Kong, and even Attack on Titan. These collaborations often introduce Operator skins, weapon blueprints, and themed in-game events.

While some players have been critical of Black Ops 6‘s monetization model and cosmetic choices, the arrival of the TMNT may shift opinions in a more positive direction. The beloved characters could add a fresh dynamic to the game’s lineup of Operators and special events.

Datamine Hints at TMNT Content

CharlieIntel recently amplified reports from dataminers Realityuk_ and HeyImAlaix, who claim that a TMNT crossover event is imminent. On January 28, HeyImAlaix stated they could “confirm” the collaboration, which will include a limited-time event and an exclusive game mode. Shortly after, Realityuk_ backed up this claim, adding that the event may share similarities with another upcoming crossover featuring The Boys, potentially allowing TMNT characters to wield unique abilities.

This would mark the second time the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise has crossed paths with Call of Duty. In Modern Warfare 2 (2022), Shredder was introduced as a playable Operator, but the turtles themselves have never officially appeared in the series. Outside of Call of Duty, the TMNT have made notable appearances in Fortnite, Smite, and Street Fighter 6, proving their continued relevance in modern gaming.

Potential Impact on Black Ops 6

If the crossover follows the trend of previous collaborations, fans can likely expect themed Operator skins, new melee weapons (such as the Turtles’ signature weapons), and possibly even a TMNT-themed game mode. Some players have expressed concerns about certain crossover cosmetics disrupting immersion in Call of Duty, but given the overwhelming popularity of the TMNT, this event may be received more positively.

Take This with a Grain of Salt

As with all datamined content, it is important to approach this information with cautious optimism. Until Activision officially announces the event, details remain subject to change. However, given Black Ops 6‘s ongoing live-service model and the popularity of crossovers, it wouldn’t be surprising if the TMNT make their way into the game soon.
