Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 – Citadelle des Morts and Major Zombies Overhaul

Activision has officially unveiled the content-rich roadmap for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1, which is set to launch on November 14. Following an impressive debut, Activision plans to keep players engaged with new weapons, maps, modes, and more. Notably, the much-anticipated Citadelle des Morts Zombies map will debut mid-season, offering fans a haunting, castle-themed experience.

Citadelle des Morts: The New Zombies Map

The Citadelle des Morts map is unique to Zombies, marking the third playable Zombies map alongside the game’s extensive 16 multiplayer maps. Set in an eerie, medieval castle in Europe, it follows the journey of characters Weaver, Maya, Carver, and Grey as they investigate dark secrets within the abandoned fortress. Although details remain scarce, players can expect “ghoulish horrors,” a sprawling medieval village, and undisclosed secrets hinted at in Activision’s cryptic teaser.

Directed Mode and New Gameplay Options

In addition to Citadelle des Morts, Zombies is receiving an entirely new gameplay experience with Directed Mode. This mode simplifies the main objectives, capping rounds at 15 to create a story-focused experience. Ideal for lore enthusiasts, Directed Mode removes side quests and S.A.M. trials, creating a streamlined approach that shifts focus from survival to narrative immersion.

Season 1’s Zombies Content Update

Activision isn’t stopping at just maps and modes. Season 1 will introduce:

  • A New Enemy Type: Details are limited, but a teaser image suggests a mysterious foe lurking in Citadelle des Morts.
  • 18 New Augments: Fresh customization options to enhance player builds.
  • Perk-a-Cola Addition: A new perk to support your Zombie-slaying ventures.
  • Field Upgrade & Ammo Mod: Essential tools for tackling more challenging encounters.
  • GobbleGum Flavors: Three new flavors are arriving, enhancing tactical play.
  • Additional Weapons: Expanding the arsenal available in Zombies.

With Microsoft touting Black Ops 6 as the largest COD release yet, these additions reflect Activision’s dedication to keeping its player base hooked with ever-expanding content.
