Nacon and KT Racing have announced that players of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will receive free in-game content as a gesture of appreciation for sticking with the game through launch-related issues. This includes an exclusive “Adventurer Edition” 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe and a set of five “Pioneers of the Solar Crown” stickers. These rewards will be granted in December, at the beginning of Season 2, to players who played before September 30.

Launch Month Issues and Patch Efforts After its September 12 release, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown faced a challenging launch, marked by server issues and numerous bugs, which significantly impacted the gaming experience. Early access players who purchased the Silver Sharps, Silver Streets, or Gold Editions reported issues like server instability and matchmaking problems. In response, KT Racing released a major patch on September 30 addressing over 300 bugs. They have since committed to ongoing improvements with the November 5 update and further refinements set for Season 2.
Enhanced Performance for Console Players The November 5 update will include performance upgrades for the PS5 version, enhancing frame rate stability in Performance mode and boosting Quality mode resolution from 1080p to 1440p. Xbox Series X|S players can expect improved compatibility with Fanatec and Logitech peripherals, alongside over 40 bug fixes across all platforms.
Upcoming AI and Matchmaking Adjustments Nacon has also hinted at tweaks to driver AI, including a refined Expert AI setting for a more approachable gameplay experience, as well as ranked matchmaking improvements scheduled for future updates. Despite fan requests, no mention was made of an offline mode for the game’s online-only campaign.
Season 1 is ongoing until December 18, giving players additional time to enjoy current content. With the approach of Season 2, players can anticipate new cars, races, and other content to enhance their Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown experience.
