SCS Software has rolled out the highly anticipated Driving Academy feature in both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, catering to both novice drivers and seasoned veterans. This new content, which has been teased during recent livestreams, is designed to sharpen players’ driving skills with a series of increasingly challenging scenarios. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to perfect your technique, the Driving Academy offers a comprehensive guide to smooth and efficient deliveries.
To mark the occasion, a brand-new trailer was released, providing a closer look at the academy and highlighting the breadth of driving challenges that players can expect. The trailer offers a glimpse into what this new feature brings to the table, building excitement around this latest addition to the beloved simulation series.
Both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator have recently been updated to version 1.51, which introduces a host of new features alongside the Driving Academy.
In addition to this, American Truck Simulator received the much-awaited Arkansas DLC, which expands the map with new territories and challenges. Fans of heavy machinery can now get behind the wheel of the Mack Pinnacle and the new Fifth Generation Freightliner Cascadia—two iconic trucks that add to the realism of the driving experience. Additionally, SCS Software recently announced the Louisiana DLC, which is set to follow the Missouri map expansion, though a release date for Missouri has yet to be confirmed.
On the other hand, Euro Truck Simulator 2, while sharing the same engine and development path, transports players to a European setting, offering a distinct regional experience within the same framework of high-fidelity trucking simulation.
The games were also showcased at the IAA Transportation 2024 event in Hannover, further cementing the connection between simulation and real-world transportation industries.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator are available exclusively for PC.
