Overwatch 2 Offers Free Epic Lucio Skin and 1,000 Coins via Microsoft Rewards

In anticipation of Overwatch 2’s arrival on Xbox Game Pass, Blizzard Entertainment has announced another exciting giveaway for players. Through Microsoft Rewards, players can now claim the epic Octopus Lucio skin along with 1,000 in-game coins. This marks the second major giveaway from Blizzard, following the recent announcement that Overwatch 2 will be added to Xbox Game Pass on September 17, a month after the launch of Season 12.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers can enjoy this limited-time offer by linking their Battle.net and Xbox accounts and logging into Overwatch 2 before October 21. In addition to the Lucio skin and coins, players who take advantage of this promotion will also receive a bundle of exclusive character skins, including Cardboard Reinhardt, Turtleship D.Va, Cyberdragon Hanzo, Street Runner Genji, Bee Mercy, and Cleric Lifeweaver. Also included are 30 Mythic Prisms, which can be used to unlock Mythic skins. Blizzard has hinted at even more giveaways on the horizon, further sweetening the deal for Overwatch 2 fans.

To claim the epic Octopus Lucio skin, players must accumulate 10,000 Microsoft Rewards points. These points can be earned by using Bing for searches, browsing with Edge on PC and mobile devices, shopping in the Microsoft Store, playing games on Xbox consoles, and using the Windows app. Once players have collected the required points, they can redeem them for the Lucio skin and 1,000 Overwatch coins to spend in the game’s store.

However, it’s important to note that this particular giveaway is only available to players in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and Singapore. The Octopus Lucio skin, which debuted in Overwatch 2 Season 11, transforms Lucio with an oceanic look, featuring a pinkish hue, mollusk-like eyes, and tentacle-shaped hair. Initially released as part of a $39.99 USD Starter Pack, this skin is now accessible for free to eligible players through Microsoft Rewards.

As Overwatch 2’s inclusion in Xbox Game Pass approaches, Blizzard’s giveaways are generating buzz and excitement within the community, offering players new ways to customize their favorite heroes while celebrating the game’s expanding reach.
